I LOVED this episode. There's so much to say about it, but I'll keep it brief:
- It really was sweet how everyone - more than simply encouraged - actually pushed Martin for this interview. Everyone just wants to see him happy in the stable, paid job he deserves.
- It was funny how with Martin's absence, Douglas basically turned in to Martin XD. Martin has evidently rubbed off on Douglas during the six years they have been working together.
- It was also interesting for Douglas to finally have to get a taste of what Martin has to put up with as well. I think he may be feeling a tad more sympathetic towards him in hindsight.
- Poor Arthur having an allergic reaction to fruit ^^;. It was funny though.
- The 'fruit tray' wars XD! 'I want a fruit tray too!', LOL, Douglas, you sound like a five year old XD!
- It was really nice seeing assertive-Martin. I mentally cheered for him on a number of occasions in this episodes.
- Admittedly I also rather wanted to hug him on a few other occasions in this episode too. Poor Martin ^^;.
- 'I'm calm like a duck' - smooth Martin, smooth.
But the most important thing about this episode, of course, is it's ambiguous ending. While his job application was successful, it looks like Martin may be having second thoughts about accepting it. At the end of the day, his little 'family' of sorts at MJN Air, possibly may mean to much to him too leave. But does it? We don't know. We won't know.....unless Cabin Pressure gets another series. Because the brilliant thing about the frustratingly ambiguous ending? It leaves the series open to further series......
