Pandora Hearts chapter 70: Thoughts and comments
Well, the main thing that can be said about this chapter is that it has completely reversed everything we previously knew about Oz. And that's putting it mildly.
So in this chapter, we learn that Oz is actually Jack, and Jack is actually the B-rabbit. Meaning, in short, that Oz is actually Jack, and is not human, but a chain. Yup 0.0. I don't think anyone was expecting that. I theorized that Oz was maybe Jack's son, brother maybe, or distant relative - but certainly not that. There has been all sorts of complex theories about Oz, but I don't think anyone predicted this (and if anyone has, then I take my hat off to them). How this works I am not yet sure (without proper translations), but it seems possible that Jack either reversed his age, or Oz is from some kind of time paradox or something, and appears to be linked to Jack's desire to bring Lacie back to life. But that of course then poses the question of 'who is Alice then?'. If she isn't the B-Rabbit, then what or who is she 0.0?
For the first time in a while we also revert back from flashbacks to current events. We see Gilbert, who still appears to be holding on (despite apparently losing large amounts of blood), and by some miracle Leo still appears to be holding on as well. I really hope we don't end up losing either of these two, but while I think Gil dying is unlikely, I somehow have little hope for Leo :(. I hope he doesn't die, but I think he will.
Also, on a random note, are we ever going to see Reim again before the end of this manga :'(? He's my favourite character, so I'd be sad if we never see him again before the manga concludes.
Edit: A short while ago someone posted a question on the PH com in regards to the idendity of Zai Vessalias' real child. So at first I thought, 'LOL, maybe it's Reim XD', but then I realized that, on the other hand, Mochi Jun really could surpise us by making it someone unexpected like Reim O.o. And in regards to age, it would actually make sense logically. Reim is 26. Oz is 15-16. Oz was in the abyss for 10 years. Weird O.o...
