It's hard to put in to words all the emotion I feel regarding it's ending. All I can say is that this manga, it's meaning, and it's plot is just so beautifully poetic that it's left me speechless and close to tears.
The final revelation that the characters, fighting to overcome their different problems and to find peace with themselves, were actually babies in the womb, going through a kind of pre-birth purgatory to discover themselves and gain the inner strength they will need for the outside world, was just so incredible, and I loved this idea. I love the idea of, before they are born, human souls having the pass a test and triumph over an adversity so that they can be born. It makes sense about Mashiro and his male and female self, and it was sad that, in the end, one of them had to die so the other could be born. I nearly cried when 'Mashiro' met 'Sou' again. This was just too beautiful.
This is honestly one of the best, most clever and most poetic mangas I have ever read in my life. There is such incredible meaning behind it, and has the most cleverly executed, profound and poetic twists I've ever seen in manga. Dark, twisted, and beautiful. Mizushiro is a true genius, and this series leaves me with nothing but respect for her. I really, really can't recommend this manga enough.
