TV Guide Vol 4 Autumn issue Tegomasu + Koyama's AIUEO Love Letter Popolo 2011/11
M: It’s been a while since our full album has been finally sold. Anyhow, our feelings of wanting everyone to hurry up and listen to it are strong.
T: You’re right. We have songs that are like us and songs that fit into our age bracket. More so than before, the songs will sound a little mature. Also, the album has become something that covers all genres.
M: That also holds the meaning of “magic” that comes together in the title. When we were meeting with the producer and he mentioned “magic”, Tegoshi and I went “that’s it!” and were instantly struck; it was like we were going to tear up.
T: Yep yep. I think there will be at least one magical song that everyone will love!
M: But it’s full of songs I like.
T: Well of course (lol). I like all of them, but I get the feeling that “Hanabi” is easy to empathise with. That song and “Mahou no Melody” are songs that sound like having our true voices next to you. There are our normal voices, but I think the contrast in the Tegomasu tune is strong, we’re singing tenderly.
M: During the recording, I was singing as I was imagining how Tegoshi would come into the song. Conversely, Tegoshi’s singing was already added to the track, so I was listening carefully and sang to fit into it.
T: But, Tegomasu’s songs are increasing like that, I’m happy that we’re doing a tour because of those songs. I think everyone will be surprised if we tried to squash everything in and it turns out to be about 5 hours long (lol). We’re currently up to deciding on the songs whilst carefully selecting them.
M: I think in the tour “magic” will be a keyword, but not that we’re not going to cast magic at each like “hah!”, rather going through the magic that is music together to make everyone happen.
T: You’re right. “Magic” is facing the tour, and wondering if someone would be able to cast magic that would allow me to think of lyrics instantly (lol). I always am about to remember the lyrics as I sing them, but during live performances I kinda mess it up….
M: No no, that’s not magic, you have to remember them yourself (lol). If I was able to cast magic, a fantasy feeling is good. Yeah… I want to be able to cast magic to fly!
T: True, I want to be able to fly too. Speaking of which, we’re going completely off topic (lol). Anywho, if you can give us back reactions at the live performances it would be the best. Laughing, crying, being deeply moved …if we can see these emotions we’ll be happy. This live will be give you 100% happiness, so please anticipate it and wait for us!
Q. Please tell us about your magical date plan ♥
T: First, I’ll drive to pick her up before midday, and we’ll go for lunch. Of course I would have booked the store. After we’ve eaten, we’ll go and look at maple leaves leisurely. I’ve never been on a date in the mountains before, so I think I want to try it once. We’ll take walks, eat while we’re walking, it would be fun ♪When the night is getting darker, I’ll leave the car at home, and go to a stylish place to drink. There we’ll talk to each other as we’re looking at the night scenery and drink a little…after that is a hug. Huh? Are there people who don’t hug these days (lol). Oh well! I would have sent you home by taxi, but then you tell me something like “I don’t want to go home”, and as I say “You’re helpless~. See you again” I want to hug you (lol). After the date, I’ll be really excited if the girl texted me or gave me a call. Because I won’t be doing it (lol). My impression may change depending on if “Thank you” is there or not! Also it’s good if the girl’s fashion is clothes that she likes, but if it’s girly clothes like skirts and dresses will make me happy~.
M: Of course, she will be picked up via horse-drawn pumpkin carriage (lol). I’ll send a message the previous day saying “I can’t pick you up, but a carriage will come so ride in that”. Because of all the trouble, I’ll be really happy if she comes all dressed up. Then, she’ll ride in the carriage, arrive at the destination then suddenly, the horse starts to transform. The magic wears off…truth is the horse was me (lol). The destination is the Tegomasu live concert, and I’ll even direct you to your seat. I apologise for leaving you alone, but please enjoy the live to its fullest. At the end, I’ll start to change…”Thank you everyone!” as I get down from the stage and turn back into a horse again (lol). Then, the me as a horse will be pulling the carriage with you to dinner. Dinner is horse sashimi (lol)? Just kidding, I think it’ll be Italian food. We’ll take our time talking while we’re eating. I’m not sure if you’ve noticed by now, but truth is there is a problem with this plan, up until dinner, we’ve pretty much not been able to speak to each other (lol)!! When I was a horse we didn’t talk, during the live we didn’t talk. Still it was a magical date, so it’s okay if it felt special (lol)?
Q. Please tell us what are you are currently into!
T: Trying to make my body all stoic~ I go to the gym and work out hard (lol). I have to create a certain hurdle for myself, and I like the moment when I have overcome it. That’s why even in my hobby of soccer, it’s clearly more about a strong team than just me. More than me, it’s about being with people with high skill levels not losing sight of an objective, and to be able to achieve fresh objectives like being “There are such cool people that exist!”.
M: Reading! This year I’ve decided to read 12 books in 12 months, so I’m reading through them well. Because it’s fun to choose books, I end up buying 5 books when I go to the book store. In my case, 5 books is 5 months worth of reading but in comparison…I end up going back to the book store buying different books. Lately, the load of bought book and read books have been severely disproportioned (lol). Wait a minute! This isn’t about reading books but it’s about me getting into “buying books” (lol).
Q. What is the Autumn fashion point?
T: Boots. I wear boots all year around, but in summer it’s boots or sandals! They’re on extreme ends (lol). And then bottoms are completely in right now. I like monotone clothing…ah, sometimes I have flashy stuff like leopard prints too (lol). Normally I would just coordinate simple black and white.
M: At any rate, I want a beige item!! All sorts of beige (lol). It might be surprisingly hard to coordinate with other colours, but maybe with a slightly different designed shirt, or something with a strong colour might be easy to match with it.
Q. What do you want to do from now on?
T: In my private time, I want to jump on a train and go to the mountains or an onsen alone. Basically I like the ocean more (lol), but I don’t really go to the mountains at all. As for work, I want to do a dinner show! Where people can freely eat and drink. There will be music like a keyboard, guitar, light percussion, but something of a live performance without worrying about a microphone is what I want to do. I want everyone to take this BGM feel. I want to challenge something new!
M: I want to become a man who can cook! Right now I’m at the level where I can cook sunny side up eggs and omelettes (lol). But recently, are there a lot of guys who can cook well? I have quite a few friends who can immediately go home and make all this food. The first main course would be like salad, I want to be able to make lots of courses. If I’m going to start of the challenge…first will be curry I think. This is also “magic” if I’m able to do this, I’ll be happy (lol).
Q. What kind of food do you want to eat during Autumn?
T: It’ll have to be matsutake mushrooms, and mackerel! The other day, I was eating mackerel cooked just right in rice, it was so delicious~. Also, our tour is about to start, so we’ll be able to eat specialty foods from each and every place… looking forward to it ♪ Depending on the location, the catering will be different (lol).
M: I want to eat grapes! Basically I like Kyoho grapes*, but there are grapes with edible skins right? That’s why they should be “Kyoho, skin you can eat sometimes grapes” is probably best (lol). Also, it’s cliché but mackerel! Whether it is grilled, boiled, as sashimi or anything is good.

♪ LOL those two~~ and hey! Massu might be influenced by Shige with that whole "reading 12 books in 12 months" thing. Except wasn't Shige's for movies and the numbers were different? Ahaha either way good on you Massu!
♪ Tegoshi wanting to do a dinner show sounds awesome! Massu, learn to cook. Guys who know how to cook are in hot demand I think!! XD
