(no subject)
Took another driving test yesterday. I actually passed! I actually wasn't very excited, more relieved that I don't have to go back for two years. Well, I do if I want my non-probationary license. We'll see. : D
The actual test was kind of scary though. It was rush hour in downtown. There's one T-intersection with a stop sign where the examiner normally makes you turn left, but we skipped that (yay!!). But as I was going down one of the streets, a pedestrian ran across the road, a fair way down (I was on a one-way with about four lanes). There were two others, and the light turned yellow, so started slowing down well before the intersection. I was maybe twenty meters from the intersection, and the other two went out onto the street (not in the crosswalk) and one of them thanked me. x_X I was freaked out for the rest of the test. So glad its over.
School... was boring and annoying. In the opening speech, the principal said 'lucrative' and my immediate thought was of Star Trek. Yeah, I'm a loser. Oh well. I have friends in every class except math. Go figure. Math was rather boring the last two days, as it has been review of what we did in 20. Chem is definetly going to be awesome. Even if the absolute evil from bio last year decided to sit next to me. But, I really need to go over the basics. I haven't had chem since grade ten. And by basics, I mean what we learned in chem 20. In half a semester nonetheless. Fun, fun! English is pretty much okay. We had to play four truths and a lie, and apparently we're going to be quizzed on it. *fake death* I'm rather disappointed, because I was looking forward to reading Hamlet this year, but instead I have to read Othello. Again. X_X I liked Othello and all, but I really, really, really wanted to study Hamlet. Oh well. Social will probably be killer. I can just see us going incredibly slow, and we have to discuss current events. Which means I have to know about current events. x_X Two days of school, and then a three day weekend. Very sweet.
