Yay! The company administration has decided to have business casual dress code instead of formal dress code from Monday to Thursaday. That means that I can continue to wear what I usually wear to work :) The thing is that the administration usually writes official e-mails and everybody wears formal clothes for a couple of months but then women get tired of it and start to move toward more casual style especially those working in back office and not meeting with clients. Then management notices changes and sends regulations again and the whole process repeats :) Now they won't have to do it. But... I think girls will start to wear something more close to casual clothes.
In case anyone wonders what all this dress-code stuff means (as our administration explains it):
Formal dress code means:
Gentlemen should always wear business suits and sleeved shirts with collars and with ties
Ladies can wear formal trousers or skirts. In addition to tailored shirts or blouses, tailored knit sweaters and sweater sets are appropriate business choices also.
All employees are not permitted to wear sporty shoes, jeans, sporty sweaters, T-shirts or round-neck shirts
Business Casual dress code means:
Gentlemen may wear suits or jackets, trousers and blazers and sleeved shirts with collars but without ties
Ladies can wear casual trousers or skirts. In addition to tailored shirts or blouses, tailored knit sweaters and sweater sets are appropriate business casual choices also.
All employees are not permitted to wear sporty shoes, blue jeans, sporty sweaters, T-shirts or round-neck shirts
Casual dress code means:
Both ladies and gentlemen are permitted to wear sporty shoes, T-shirts, round-neck shirts and blue jeans
All employees are not permitted to wear shorts and beach sandals and men are not permitted to wear shoes without socks
P.S. So remember, no beach sandals, people, not even in November :)))
