Notes: Action? Agent Kiru on the move here… This all happened in a day and I think it’s too long but I couldn’t cut it. Btw, purple font means it’s through the com and it’s from the Agency. And, as usual, I haven’t read this myself. Lazy. I’ll beta this some other time. Just ignore the effing’ mistakes, kays?! XD ‘SHE’ is revealed. Conflicts. Power. Leverage. Climax? Whose birthday is it tomorrow? XD
hellotrishahere , this is for you! XDD Enjoy. XD
EDIT: ‘Miyobi’ is now ‘Myoubi’… That’s the right one… I’ll edit the previous ones when I feel like it… But it’s supposed to be ‘Myoubi’ no ‘Miyobi.’
MATSUMOTO KIRU
Things didn’t get any better between Yabu and me. He still isn’t talking to me. It was awkward seeing him yesterday here in the Agency but he didn’t even acknowledge my presence. Sigh.
“New intel,” Kamenashi said. “He’s going to meet up with some people today.”
Sigh. Work. It’s Saturday and Yabu excused himself from work today while I still have to go on with SHE. Kamenashi handed me the intel and I got ready resume my mission, hoping it’ll end soon.

MIURA KIRU
Should I? Or not? It looks good… but it’s from Myoubi. Fine.
The necklace that my mother gave me remained hidden in some random case in my room I never wore it because it came from her. My attempt to keep her away, and all the signs of her being part of my life, is doing pretty well.
But when I saw the necklace today, I had the feeling it’ll look good on me. It fits with what I was wearing. Who cares? And, well, who’ll notice, ne?
I took the necklace and placed in around my neck. I was right; it did look good. No one knows Myoubi is my mom so I don’t think wearing it, at least today.

YABU KOUTA
I sat on the bench as I waited for the others to arrive. I don’t know where we were going since only Hikaru planned everything. After a while, Takaki arrived with Daiki and sometime after, Inoo arrived.
“Where are we going?” Inoo asked.
“No idea.” Takaki replied.
“Where are Hikaru and Miura?” Daiki asked, looking around.
“Late.”
“Hey, guys!” Miura ran to us. “Sorry, I kinda got lost.”
Daiki laughed. “Don’t tell me you’re still not familiar with Tokyo!”
“Hey! I’ve only been here for about a month!” He pouted.
We laughed at him and his pout grew then he laughed a bit.
I took a closer look at him. That necklace… No. Cannot be. Must be some coincidence. But, it looks too similar to… Myoubi’s? To WIT’s? Why is Miura wearing something like it? Is he part of WIT? But, only high level agents of WIT wear that… Can he possibly be-?
“Yabu-kun?” Takaki patted me. “What’s wrong?”
“Uh, nothing.” I replied. “I just remembered something. It’s nothing. Oh, look, there’s Hikaru.”
“Finally.” Everyone said in unison.
MIURA HARUMA
Was he staring at my necklace? Can he possibly know it? Does he know WIT? He also changed the subject. What was he avoiding?
There. Another glance. What’s with him?
“GOOOOMEEEEN~~~!” Hikaru ran shouting his lungs out as we covered our ears. He tried to catch his breath. “I got lost.”
“Sorry, Hika-chan, but that excuse is taken.” Inoo said as he gestured to me.
Hikaru looked at me then stuck out his tongue like a little boy and we just laughed at him. He seemed to have not arranged anything for us to do and Daiki suggested we just watch some random movie.
MATSUMOTO KIRU
“He’s on the move. On 2 o’clock.” I said.
If there was someone sitting right beside me, he’d think I was crazy since I was talking to myself. But no, I’m active right now. SHE is an active mission right now.
Yabu was with Miura. I could see him looking at something on Miura’s neck. I didn’t see what.
“I’m changing location. I have to see what’s on Miura’s neck. Yabu keeps looking at it.”
“Kiru-chan, stay on the mission. You are there to accomplish your objectives.” Ichihara told me back through the com on my ear. “Stay on track.”
“I am. Yabu looks at it too much. I know him.” I replied. “It must be something important. Besides, he’s on the move.”
I stood up and followed them. I stayed a few yards back so they wouldn’t notice me, especially Yabu. I had to take extra precaution since he’s around.
“He’s heading to a movie house.” I said.
“Follow them in. It’ll be easier there.”
“Will do.”
I followed them in and bought myself a ticket to the same movie they took.
“Triangulate his location. I can’t just go searching him here.”
“Scanning…” Ichihara replied, then after a few seconds she said, “Okay, east, approximately twenty meters from you.”
I sighed. “I see them. 11:30.”
“Copy. Wait! Kiru! Watch out! Yabu’s headed right for you!”
Great. I hurried to a spot near the wall and looked straight ahead. He’d pass me any moment now, and I’ll just have to face the other way.
I took a quick turn behind me and yes, he was there. “I see him. 5 o’clock.”
“Kiru.”
Oh no.
“Kou-” I turned to him and he seemed so much taller than he already is.
“What are you doing here?”
“Can’t I watch a movie?” I replied with a smile.
“You’re active.”
It was not a question. He knew me. I remained silent. It was the first time we talked since the argument we had at my house.
He sighed exasperatedly and took me by my wrist and started pulling me out the movie house.
“Kiru,” Ichihara said through the com. “You can’t do this now.”
“I can’t do this now.” I said.
“Why not?” Yabu replied as he took me to a narrow alley.
“I-“
“Kiru! He cannot know! You know what he can do…” Ichihara warned me.
“Answer me, Kiru.”
Ichihara was being like my little brain talking here. She’s acting as the ‘Agent Kiru’ side of me. I’m particularly impressed. But now isn’t the time to be impressed or compliment a fellow agent. But she was right. It was off protocol to tell Yabu. I know what he would most possibly do if he is made aware of SHE.
“I am busy?” Great. It came out as a question.
“Right.” He replied sarcastically. “Tell me, is your subject Miura Haruma?”
MATSUMOTO KIRU
I know this is wrong… But I know he can take the truth. He’s a well trained agent. “I-“
“Kiru, you canno-“
“Shut up, Ichihara!” I picked the little com on my ear and placed it on my pocket.
Yabu smiled. “I knew it. You are active. That’s pretty unwise. Talk to me some other time, when you’re not busy…”
He started to walk away. Some certain urge deep in me stopped him. “Wait!”
“Kiru, you can’t. Not right now.” He replied softly.
YABU KOUTA
As much as I want to know what’s going on, I know she cannot tell me right now. I can’t jeopardize her mission. She’s already in enough trouble with what I put her through right now. Though, there’s this one question I need to ask…
“Kiru, tell me one thing,” I turned to her and said. “Is Miura involved in this mission?”
“Yes. SHE is what’s it’s called.”
“SHE?”
“Stalk Haruma Espionage.”
Knew it.
I know I must act professionally. I should let Kiru go on with this mission, but I can’t just shake the thought of my father’s death in Myoubi’s hands away.
“Kouta, don’t do anything drastic, okay?” She mumbled. “There are reasons why we hid this from you. Please don’t do what the Agency expected you would do… You know better.”
Do I? Can I hold myself?
I nodded curtly. “You should put your com back on now…”
She nodded. “Yeah. I guess I should…”
She took her com from her pocket and placed it on her ear, then out again after a split second. “You didn’t have to shout!”
I chuckled. “Are they panicking back there?”
“No. They’re just screaming at me…” She replied. “Great. I think I’ll be deaf on this ear…”
I laughed again. “Give it to me…”
She handed the little object to me and I placed it on ear. The screaming had already stopped. “Hello? Ichihara?”
“Yabu-kun?”
It wasn’t Ichihara who answered. It was Kiru’s father.
“Yes. It’s me.” I replied. “I thought you saw me as a rogue agent… Turns out you guys just felt I couldn’t know this… I understand. Don’t punish Kiru for this. I won’t jeopardize your mission.”
“I do hope so. Yabu-kun, I’m sorry.”
“I understand.”
I gave the com back to Kiru and she placed it back on her ear. “Copy. Kou, I have to go.”
I nodded and went back to the theatre. Kiru followed shortly after, I guess. But I didn’t look back at her. I had to act professional. I am professional. I can do this.
“Yabu-kun?” Takaki looked at me as I took the seat between him and Miura… “What took you so long?”
“I- I got lost?” I replied.
He rolled his eyes. “That excuse is way too overrated!”
“Shh!” Inoo said beside him. “The movie’s about to start!”
Takaki and I muttered an apology and we faced front. The movie wasn’t boring. It was okay, I guess. But I wasn’t able to watch it properly. Miura was right beside me and I couldn’t help but glance at the necklace he was wearing. It dangled on his neck and shined as the light reflected it. I’ve only seen that symbol a few times. It was no ordinary pendant. I saw that once in my father’s files after he died. That was also on the paper on Kiru’s father’s table years ago. I know that whoever was behind his death used this mark. Could it be that Miura is part of WIT? Kiru confirmed that he’s under surveillance. And sending Kiru for a mission like this can only mean that this is a top priority mission. A- and not telling me means that…?
“Yabu-kun? Are you okay?”
Of all people who could be right beside me right now, it had to be Miura and now he’s talking to me… Great.
I took a deep breath before I answered. “Yeah, I’m fine.”
He smiled and faced back at the screen, his necklace flickering in the dark. I took another deep breath and faced the screen. I don’t even know the genre of what I’m watching. I tried to concentrate but it was hard to do so. The thought of my father’s death kept repeating over and over in my head. I never saw it in person but I know the facts. I saw the tape Myoubi sent us. I saw how she tortured and killed my father. I know what she did to him. He gave her a second chance and she killed him.
I couldn’t take it anymore. I stood up and left the movie house.
“Yabu-kun?” Miura tried to stop me.
“Leave me alone.” I hissed.
MATSUMOTO KIRU
“Things are getting heated down there.” I said.
“Stay put, Kiru.”
“But, Kou-“
“Stay put.”
“Mura’s following him.”
“Go after them but keep your ground.”
“Copy.”
I got up from my seat and followed them. They went to the same alleyway that Yabu and I had our conversation. I hid at the side and listened in on their conversation. It looks as if they just got here.
“Yabu-kun!” Miura shouted behind him. “Hey! Wait up!”
“What do you want?!”
Yabu lost it.
“Look, I know you have some problem with me.” Miura said. “Just spill it out!”
“What if I don’t want to?!” Yabu shouted.
This was one of the few times I see him burst. This rarely happens. He’s usually calm and composed.
“I think I should do something…” I said to Ichihara.
“Don’t. You can’t blow your cover.”
“But Yabu’s losing it!” I hissed.
“Yabu, just spit it out!” Miura started to flare up too. “And I know you’re hiding something! Why do you lie to those you call friends? You don’t have a mother in coma, don’t you?”
“You don’t wanna go there…” Yabu said in gritted teeth. “I am not the only one with a little dirty secret.”
MIURA HARUMA
No. He cannot know about that. No one is supposed to know about that.
“What are you talking about?” I asked and chuckled and it came out fake. “I’m not hiding anything.”
He was so angry. It was so seen in his eyes. I think I shouldn’t have confronted him. He was fuming mad.
He took a deep breath to, I guess, calm down a bit but it didn’t help. “Don’t act all innocent, Miura! I know you’re part of WI-“
“Yabu-san!”
Matsumoto Kiru?
“Kir- Matsumoto-san?” Yabu faced her. He was still trying to calm himself down. “What are you doing here?”
His eyes were telling something else. It’s like what he meant that she was not supposed to be there, like it was…forbidded?
“Just passed by and saw you.” She replied. “What are you guys doing here? And who’s that?”
“Him?” Yabu gestured at me. “He’s no one.” A hiss was there in the end of that statement.
“Ano…” Kiru looked as if she was trying to come up with something to say. “So…uh…”
“I think you should leave.” Yabu said.
“Why? Is something going on here I can’t know about?” Kiru asked. “Are you telling him something no one else should know?”
They looked at each other with knowing eyes. There was something under the table happening here. There was something here. I can see it in their eyes. They’re hiding something. There is this deep connection between them. I don’t know exactly what’s going on but I know there is something. And, I don’t like being lied too.
“Stop it you two.” I said. “Stop this charade!”
They both looked at me.
“What are you talking about?” Kiru asked, plastering an innocent face, which of course I could see through.
“Very good, son.”
Son?
“Myoubi?” Surprisingly, all of us said in unison.
We turned to where the voice came from and yes, there she was, standing by a black car with men in tuxedos by her side.
“What are you doing here?!” Kiru asked and brought out a gun and aimed it at her.
“That’s very unwise.” Myoubi showed another one of her devious smiles as men from all sides surrounded us with guns aimed at her.
MATSUMOTO KIRU
“Backup is on the way. Kiru, stand down!”
We were trapped. We were surrounded. Yabu must’ve been planning something but…
“Yabu-kun, you can’t get out, okay? Nothing up your sleeves can save you.” Myoubi said, shocking Yabu. “Don’t underestimate me.”
I only have two loaded guns. One on my right hand and one hidden at my back. I can throw it to Yabu and start a shootout. There’s also a knife hidden on my right leg. I can…
“No, Kiru. Attack now and you’re dead.” Myoubi said to me.
“Kiru, she can read you. You’re an open book to her. Beware.”
My hand traveled to my back and I reached for the gun.
“Kou! Heads up!” I shouted as I threw the gun at him. He caught it and aimed it at Miura.
Miura flinched. I guess it was his first time to have a gun pointed at him.
“Let us go or else he dies.” Yabu warned.
“You wouldn’t do it.” She taunted.
Yabu aimed it directly on Miura’s head. “Watch me.”
I froze and just watched them, but didn’t let my guard down as my gun aimed at Myoubi.
“You can’t do it.” Myoubi taunted. “You don’t kill… You’re like your father. Even as I tortured him, even as I slowly chopped down all his fingers, he still had hoped that I would change.” She laughed. “He thought there was good in me!” She snorted. “You won’t kill him. You don’t know how to kill.”
“Shut up!” Yabu screamed. Tears started to roll down his cheeks. “You killed my father and now, I’ll kill your son!”
Myoubi walked towards Yabu and Yabu started to walk backwards with Miura pulled by his shirt.
“Kiru, backup is fifteen minutes out. Stall.”
Myoubi turned to me. “I’m guessing you’re the one active right now, aren’t you? How long till your backup’s here?”
“Kiru, keep your mouth shut.”
She smirked. “I knew it. The Agency’s listening aren’t they?”
I kept my eyes on her and didn’t show any expression.
“I can still tell what you’re thinking. That’s not gonna work on me.” She said to me then turned to Yabu.
She grabbed the gun from him and he prepared to hit her but a gun was suddenly pushed to his back by one of her men. He froze and he was vulnerable.
“Son, come with me.” Myoubi said as she placed her hand on his shoulder. He shrugged it off.
“No.” He replied through gritted teeth.
“You want them dead?”
He faced her with an expressionless face. But even he couldn’t escape his mother’s observant eyes.
“I thought so. Now, let’s go.”
Myoubi walked away and I felt a gun pushed to my back as well. I couldn’t move. Miura hesitated for a moment then followed her to the car.
“Take him.”
The agent behind Yabu hit him on the head and he dropped down, unconscious.
“No!” Miura screamed. “I’m going with you! Why did you have to do that?!”
“Leverage, son.” She replied casually.
Miura was forced in the car and Yabu was carried to another. I couldn’t do anything.
I muttered, “They’re taking Yabu.”
“Stand down! Backup’s five minutes out!”
“I can’t just let them take him!” I hissed. “I-“
I felt the agent behind me pull the com in my ear and take my gun.
“This is dangerous.” He said. “I can’t just let a little girl like you carry things like this. You might hurt people.” He laughed.
I still couldn’t move. The gun on my back paralyzed me and I couldn’t do anything. I was left unarmed and I couldn’t do anything about it.
The agents soon left, the one guarding me being the last to leave. I fell to the guard, hopeless, depressed. Backup came a few minutes later.
I lost. The mission failed. Yes, they kept me alive, but still… It feels as if all hope is gone. I was left there, alone, regretful. I didn’t do anything to stop them. And now they have Yabu… What will I do? What if they kill Yabu? What if they hurt M- Miura?
A/N: I told you SHE’s meaning is so corny! XDD Myoubi’s a big meany, ne? But she’s hella smart. More action on the way! XD B- but, I think I fail.
