There is a Unix command line utility called GREP. I'm not going to go into all of what it is capableble of, but it basically is a utility for reading and filtering text out of files. It's a complex version of the Windows Search utility.
But the point of this post is not to educate you on the Unix command line. The point of this post is to get my point across. I'm not doing a very good job however. Maybe this is pointless to try to explain it...
I've heard it said that you can't GREP dead trees.
Remember, GREP = Search, dead trees = Paper.
I'm going to be taking some of my older journal (my paper journal) entries that are not to personal and be putting them in my LJ so that if I were to die while my house burns down one night, my stories and inspirations would not be lost. Like I said, you can't GREP dead trees.
