And so does stitching flesh!




Thats what my hand looked like a few days ago before I went back in to get the stitches out (and then put back in). I was back to the hospital yesterday to get it looked at again and when they took all the bandages off everything looked so much better than before (but we wont know until the stitches come out). Usually you have to get stitches removed after 10 days or so before they start festering. For some reason my hand is not doing that. I've had the some of the original stitches in for 15 days and there is no sign of festering. My doctor is going to try to take advantage of this and leave the stitches in longer so it has more time to heal without me breaking the cut open again (bad). I go back to the hospital on Monday. So far I've missed 6 days of work and its probably going to end up being at least 7 (I hope not too much more). Thankfully this happened at work so I will be getting worker's comp pay. I'll update more on my hand after this weekend.
