Off-Roading anyone?

after work today I went over to a friends house to take cameras and her dad brought out his old Nikon Camera. The lenses he has from pre-1970's fit on my camera. It was great. With the lens I was using and my camera I was able to take picture of a car and fill most of the frame with it at about 1/2 mile away. I'll post the pictures of it soon. I was also able to take some pretty cool pictures of the sun. Because it was actually 3 lenses connected to each other It also had 3 apertures so everything was really dark (except for the sun) which I found really is round and has a very definite line that our eyes just can not see.

Afterwards I wanted to go for a bit of a drive. Rich and I ended up going to the place with the creek and the little waterfalls that I posted about a month ago. We were hoping to get some pictures of sun set, but we missed it. I ended up taking my car fairly far into the trail. Yes, I was off roading in my George the Geo. Rich said it pretty well in his off roading forums, "Justin drove this Geo up hills and trails, high siding, dodging, crunching, spinning, wheels in the air...blasting through a foot deep creek... off camber... 13'' wheels and all!" Go George!

My camera had but one shot left on its battery. I could not use the flash so I set it up on the tripod with a 30 second exposure and got out my flashlight. I opened the shutter, ran over and got the flashlight and started to light up as much as I could and then the camera died after about 15 seconds into the shot. The picture ended up turning out very dark, but I did my best to bring everything out.
