So I get home... Try to check my email and the internet is down. I ask myself why is it always down? At first I wanted to blame it on my ISP, but I began thinking... its SUPER windy right now. Like so windy the house is making a lot of noises. So, maybe one Fiber line went out? Lets just say it did. Do you know what that means? That means that all the routers in town were all of sudden trying to figure out a new way to transmit data to my computer. Thanks to RIP (Routing Information Protocol) and Route Tables, they managed to find a way for 64.113.24.20 data to get to 204.9.177.18 and then 204.9.177.18 send data back to 64.113.24.20. This data is transferred in what we IT guys call TCP/IP Packets. When data gets to 64.113.24.20, it goes up the 7 layers of the OSI model. Because in this case the traffic is being channeled through port 80, it comes out to be a web page. That is what I am looking at right now. If you want to be all cool like and figure out what I am talking about, I will help you. Click on this: Http://204.9.177.18:80

So All this just came to me because my internet was down... its amazing how stuff you learn on the job actually relates to stuff you do in real life. Haha, the quadratic equation... right.
