dear, dear readers.
it snowed in seattle. and it's cold.
the central valley is having it's first big freeze in 10+ years.
the plains/midwest are having a horrid ice storm. plus the flooding at home is f'real.
but what about madison's snow? yeah, we'll get it. 1-2 inches saturday afternoon through sunday morning. then another 2-4 sunday night through noon monday. a bit more near milwaukee 'cause of the warm lake and its evaporation and such.
this is one fucked up winter. i never thought i'd hear so many people complain about how 'warm' it's been in wisconsin thus far. people complaining about a lack of chemical-peeling, homeless-killing, lake-freezing cold. but here we are at what is climatologically the coldest time of the year. and our cold cometh.
the jury is out on how long/strong this spell will last, but i don't see any more 40s for a few weeks. let's hope they're back in time for my move. as of 1 feb., i'll be living with another person for the first time in more than 5 years. but she's rad. her name is taylour. she's helping run a campaign for a wi supreme court justice. and she's hot.
