These last few weeks have been so crazy for me. I've been busy with everything and hardly have a moment to myself. I think I'll update on what's been going on outside of class.
Two weekends ago, Vicki and I stayed at this 5 star hotel in Santa Monica called Shutters on the Beach. The hotel was pretty cool. We mostly just played in the pool and the hot tub. This was a while ago, so I have forgotten most of the details.
Last weekend, Vicki and I went to San Diego (Coronado to be exact) and stayed at the Hotel del Coronado. This haunted hotel that's been host to such celebrities as Marilyn Monroe had it's hayday in the 30s. We stayed in an ocean view room with an awesome balcony right on Coronado Beach (ranked in the top 10 in the US!). We left Malibu at noon (yes, I did skip my accounting class) on Friday. When we got there, we just chilled, ate some, and then went to the hot tub. The next day, we went to Sea World! I got to feed dolphins, see Shamu, and pet sting rays! It was really weird because everything about the day just seemed to go so perfectly. The day ended with fireworks and dancing (old people were swing dancing!).
On the last day in Coronado, we just went to the beach. We rented a surfboard and chilled there all day (that's why I'm so burnt right now). I actually surfed for about 20 seconds!

Then yesterday, I went to the Ellen Degeneres Show. We ended up being so lucky. Initially, Justin and I were just going to go two weeks ago, but the show filled up and they had to send people away, but gave tickets to those for an upcoming show. We got 4 tickets and Justin, Allie Barnes, Jenn and I went. We were on the FRONT ROW and had a blast! We danced and did all this crazy stuff and Ellen looked at us a lot. The camera was pretty much always on us when it was on the audience. At one point, I was doing this African dance that I made up and Jerry O'Connel and Ellen pointed at me (during commercials) and were all impressed-like. Then during the show, Jerry said how cool the audience was and said "like Mr. Green Shirt" (me) and the camera came to me and did a close up on me! Fran Drescher was there as well. After the show was done, we found out that they were going to film two shows in the same day so we got to be audience members in a second show. The guest for the second show was Cameron Diaz! She is so freakin hot in person. The only not-hot thing she did was when she put these paper towels under her armpits during each commercial break. I don't know what that was about, but I guess it's better than sweat dripping down your arms? I got an Ellen shirt at the end of the day too for being in the dance competition!
On our way back, we saw the forest fire that was raging through Simi Valley. Though tragic, it was beautiful. The horizon was aglow with flames and smoke. It was almost spiritual for me.
I'm bored of updating, and it's 5 am. I should get a few hours of sleep before my 8 am class tomorrow. Heh.
Night.
