I cleaned my room today. For the first time in a long time. Of course, I should be studying for my finals. But that isnt much fun. I mean, I havent really cleaned my room much all semester, but when the choice is to clean or to study, cleaning usually wins. Anyway, I found a little card amidst the rubble that I think I got at some point last semester when I visited a church, and on the back it has the prayer of St. Francis. For those of you with Catholic or Episcopal backgrounds, you are probably familiar with this. So. I really like this prayer. So if you hate God or praying or anything religious then stop reading now. Actually I think it probably is a good attitude to have, regardless of religious inclination.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved, as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
