STARSHIP TROOPERS 3: MARAUDERS IS FUCKING AWESOME.
(then again, I am a person who enjoyed the diner scene in Lady Gaga's Telephone music vid. XDXD)
I remembered watching the first one back in boarding school with dytia and S. Memorable not only because I loved it beyond reason, but also because it was one of the very few (probably the only one, come to think of it) movies I managed to watch in the cinema during my time in boarding school. My boarding school was located in a small town, too small for even a cinema, so the fact that I watched this at the cinema meant that I was all the way in Malacca town. (Or was it Ayer Keroh??) I can't quite remember why I chose this movie - probably because I caught the trailer somehow and large-scale cinematic carnage is always fun. The hilarious thing to my mind was recollecting how three pious-looking girls (the headscarf was part of our uniform, but not only that, being in that school makes you religious-stupid - it's kinda like being in a convent...??) came out of the theatre immensely satisfied, while the boys from our school were going "....."
"Wasn't that awesome or what??"
"Man, that sucked."
"WHAT? I DO NOT UNDERSTAND."
Also, the movie introduced me to Casper Van Dien, for whom I endured Tarzan. Ah.... that was a rubbish movie.
Back to the original intent for this post: Starship Troopers 3 is crack, and I daresay if you enjoyed the sense of humour in the first, this one is a must-see. I mean, I nearly died laughing at the ending. XD
