Scenes from my life with other people that involve no luggage
(But I can't promise you about the more metaphorical baggage though.)
1. "It's a bloody rambutan, you friggin'--!" cried drquinzel, as she,
chromie and I were hanging out on FT Day, waiting for my laundry to dry (really), watching Ugly Betty. It was the episode where Betty came up with a 'Sizzling Hot Fruit', a decision of course that could not be made without having a mise-en-scene of the weird fruits she and her family had to go through first.
You only get one guess which Weird Fruit(tm) get centre stage. :D
After dismissing the durian (HAAAAAAHAHA) and the longan (that's what we call it; I can't remember what they use, I only recall 'mata kucing' in the subs) as being too smelly or weird-tasting, respectively, her father suggested the tico berry, a Brazilian fruit.
"Hey... isn't that the rambutan?"
"It looks like it."
*episode continues tico berry exposition*
"Could it be that it has a different name in Brazil.
horusporus, google it!"
"Heh, it's fictional."
"CIS! First they dissed our durian and longan, and now they're stealing our rambutan!"
To be honest, I never realised her depth of feeling on the subject of fruit.
Still, at least they're Weird Fruits of Another Region, not Weird Fruits FROM THE PEGASUS GALAXY. XDXD

2. And in a completely ungraceful segue to stories set in another galaxy...
[on elaborating my unseasonable excitement for a third Riddick movie because of my unreasonable love for Chronicles of Riddick.]
