It had taken a long time to find a road that led to New York. There were plenty of roads, but almost none he could use. They were still alive in a city like this. Lost, forgotten, but not dead. He knelt beside the tub and fetched the cloth from where it hung, then dipped it into the water and began to move it over Neferti's back in a circular motion. It was as much a massage as it was a bath.
"Perhaps if you want to share, a shower would be better. Next time."

"Alright. But don't think you're going to get off so easily next time." Neferti said closing his eyes to enjoy the water the the cloth against his skin.

Daniel drew back when he was finished, giving Neferti a little kiss to the temple.

"At least until you tire of my constant need for affection." Neferti said, smiling and closing his eyes against the small kiss.
"I'll try to behave myself." He said.

"If you want something, all you have to do is ask for it." He said, sitting back on his heels. "And I don't ever expect you to behave."

Reply
"You just need to make Archie invisible." He replied, as if it were something easily accomplished. "Then you could around whenever you like."
Reply
"For now, you'll have to be patient. We can go down and you can browse around if you want."
Reply
"For now." He agreed. "I can be patient for a while. But I can be patient better with a distraction. I would like to see Archie." He said.

"I don't know how long I've been gone in real time. I think it was a lot longer than I thought I was in Discedo." He swiped a hand over a dusty table. It had been clean when he left, but then again, it could accumulate fast.
"I'll start running a diagnostic." He eased up the steps into the ship, leaving Neferti to follow at his leisure. Dan settled into the pilot's seat with a sigh; this is where he belonged.

Finally he crept up the hatch and peered inside curiously.
"you amaze me." he said quietly
