This year I'm not buying Christmas gifts. I am blessed to have everything I need and although giving stuff to other people is a nice idea, I've found that it's not as effective as I'd like it to be... a lot of stuff I've gotten in the past for people have tended to be useless trinkets... and there is only so much chocolate one can consume, haha.
So I've decided to donate to a better cause instead. There are Christmas appeals everywhere to help the world food crisis and $25 spent here goes a longer way than $25 spent on pyjamas. This is my own decision but it'd be great if you could check it out too.
I'm going to be giving to
Oxfam and
Compassion. My sister single-handedly sponsors 6 children full time through Compassion and is getting them all gifts, which I think is mindblowing.
