Opinions on 2 Mares

Apr 19, 2010 17:25

I need an honest opinion on two mares. I've posted previously when I was looking at two other mares. The last one I was looking at I was all set to buy, but then the owner changed the price and... it fell through. I was given one of the mares below shortly after that.

Anyway, I now have the opportunity to buy a different mare, but I can't afford more than two horses, so I'd have to re-home mine first. This is my problem though - I love my mare. I've only had her a few months, but I adore her. But I really, REALLY like the other one too. And the other one would probably fit me better. I'll probably post on equestrian in the near future about my dilemma, since it's very in depth and there are a lot of factors.

I plan on doing low level eventing (training level would be the highest ever, and probably not even that), and lots of trail riding. I would LOVE to breed in the future, though probably only one (there is really only one stallion I want a baby by). My point is - from a purely conformational standpoint, which mare iss better?

I'd mute the videos (I forgot to edit the talking out of them).
Also, I'd consider both mares completely green. The first one raced, but that was over 8 years ago, and nothing has been done with her since.
