Hi everyone. Feel like doing a conformation critique? Make sure you note positives as well as negatives...he's my baby after all, haha!

First off, he's way cute :) I love his face, the same expression that my old TB used to have. And beautiful coloring as well!

I have to agree with the post above that his topline was the first thing I noticed. Oddly shaped withers with a long back, be careful with the placement of your saddle since the higher withers will tend to push it back some onto that unsupported lower back of his. I like his neck but am wondering if you plan to do any dressage or anything with him because I don't know how well he'd excel at that with the long back and slimmer neck (well, slimmer than alot of the warmbloods anyway, hehe)

I do really love the bone in his legs though. His hind legs look like he stands askew, but I'm pretty sure that's just the angle of the picture more than his actual conformation. Good angles and lengths, are you planning on jumping him? I think he'd do very well in that.

Nothing to do with the conformation but how's his temperament? Do you have any more recent pics too? I would like to see how he's filled out since then :)

He's turned out to be a great guy, we're successfully schooling up to 2nd level right now, he's moving into a shorter frame really well despite his 3 mile long back, haha. We were jumping about 2'9", 3' before I stopped working with a trainer =( and haven't done much jumping at all since then, but he's (hopefully!) going on lease to a girl who will take him through novice by the end of the event season this year! I would love to get more recent pictures, but I'm often at the barn by myself and wouldn't want to risk the camera's life like that, lol. It's my parents, not mine, also. I wish I had more jumping photos, they're so good for seeing what both of you need work on. [/ramble]
