good news at work
There was this one lady at work that no one liked. Everyone was saying that there was no way that my boss / owner was going to fire this one person. My boss / owner was trying to get her to quiet by cutting her hours back. My boss / owner was telling us that she didn't want to fire her b/c she was afraid she would have to pay her unemployment. But finally she did fire this one lady. On Mon. we had a CPR, first aid , & TB shoot class after work hours. So since this one lady didn't have to work that day she didn't even show up for this class. So, that night my boss / owner was telling everyone that she was going to make her go get this on her own & have her pay for it. But then later on that night I get a call from my boss saying that she did it, firing this one lady. Then she asked me if I wanted to come in at 8 & I asked her just for tomorrow or from now on. She told me from now on until she has to change the schedule. Before this I was coming in at 8:30 & occasionlly 8. Even those I only work 4 days I'll be getting some overtime now (I could use the money). That night I thought that I was the only one she called & I would be the first to know about this one lady getting fired. But I found out the next day that she called several ppl & told them about this. My boss told me she thought about it & said that she really doesn't see this person going out on her own & getting ceritfited in CPR & first aid & getting the TB shot. Since all 3 of thses are a requirement for the job my boss said now she has a real excuse to fire her. So in the long run things are running smother & giving some of us more hours even overtime.
