I start my new job tomorrow at this day care center. It shouldn't be to much different then my old day care job. Same hours as my last job, but I just don't work at the day care center on Mondays, but I do work at my old church job Mon. mornings & at night. Also I work at the church on Sun. mornings. So with my church job & this new day care job I'll be working 40hrs when you add them together. I really don't want to get rid of my church job b/c I get paid really well there, but it's a job that you can't get a lot of hrs. at. I try to get as many hrs. at my church job as I can since the pay is great.
With this new day care job I'll be working with older children then I did at my last day care job. One intresting thing (at lest to me it is) is that it's not all one building. It's small indivial buildings. So, there is a building for infants, toddlers, & perschoolers. But all these buildings are right next to each other. But another intresting thing (at lest to me it is) is that there per-K room is located in another area but still in the same town. There per-K room is located close to this school & is inside this house. Someone that I meet there on my second intreview told me that someone lives up above in that house. But they said that she is hardly ever home, mainly to just sleep there.
One thing that was kind of different to me is that they have there workers cook the meals for their child & not have a cook like most other day cares do. When I heard that I told them I'm not much of a cook & they said that's alright since they cook stuff like hotdogs, pizzas, sometimes sandwiches, ect. I can cook or perpear food like that.
On Tues. & Thurs. they want me to work with perschoolers, & Wed. & Fri. work with per-Ks. I'll have to get use to going to a differnt place every other day.
The lady that hied me seems really nice & wants to work with her emoyples to make them happy.
Hopefully this can be a job I can stay at for a long time, unless I move (not planning on it, but you never know what can happen in life) or find a job that pays more & something that I would like to do.
