1. AIR

So hard to breathe, he thinks, with Giovanni's hands around his neck, and he wants to breathe, wants to be able to inhale all the air he needs into his lungs, but he can't; instead, he thinks fuck you, as he passes out beneath his trembling fingers

2. APPLES

Heine fucking hated apples, though he wasn't sure why that was for the longest time until he caught sight of Giovanni biting into one, and then he remembered, oh yeah, they're fucking obnoxious.

3. BEGINNING

"In the beginning," Giovanni starts casually, boots crunching over gravel as he advances toward a retreating Heine, "there was man, and there was dog, and this is exactly why you can't be both, Heine."

4. BUGS

Sometimes, Heine wonders why it feels like there's bugs crawling beneath his skin whenever Giovanni brushes past him, whenever he's within touching distance, whenever he's so close that he can nearly hear his heart beating.

5. COFFEE

Heine wasn't sure where the bucket of cold coffee came from, but he didn't much care, either; it didn't matter who had put it there, after all, considering it worked just as well as water did when it came to drowning Giovanni in it.

6. DARK

"The skies are only dark when you're around," Heine says with as much hostility as he can muster, but he has to look away when Giovanni flashes him a smile that's all teeth and all perfect civility.

7. DESPAIR

The only time Giovanni ever remembered feeling gut-wrenching, wounding despair was when Heine told him he hated him, and he believed it.

8. DOORS

The doors that lead into the crumbling warehouse are old and rotting and entirely uncomfortable when Giovanni slams Heine back into them, fingers curling in the material to his jacket as he lurches forward to press his lips insistently against the other's.

9. DRINK

Giovanni's not sure whether he loathes or craves the taste of Heine's blood, but he can't help but drink every fucking bit of it in when he has him broken and bloodied beneath him, tongue pressing flat against the pretty slit along his throat.

10. DUTY

He doesn't consider it a duty, not when it comes to killing Giovanni, and Heine figures this is only because he knows it's something he can't ever really do; not because he doesn't want to, of course, but because Giovanni just wouldn't fucking die.

11. EARTH

"It's shit here," he said, in regards to Earth and her mass of petty violence and underground wars; Heine couldn't help but agree -- at least, until Giovanni followed it up with a "but we revel in it, don't we," and then all he could do was hang his head in defeated silence.

12. END

When Heine told him, "I'm going to fucking end you," Giovanni really wasn't expecting to have the nozzle of a gun shoved through his body right before he was hurled over the side of a building; then again, he wasn't complaining, either.

13. FALL

The fall from the very top of the building to the concrete directly below was long, and it felt like it had been hours before he finally made impact; on the way down, his life didn't flash before his eyes, and Giovanni managed something short of a laugh, because -- well, the only thing he could see was Heine.

14. FIRE

He breathes fire and carbon dioxide and dried blood when Giovanni fucks him, when he has him down against the dirtied floors, thin fingers weaving their way through delicate strands of white.

15. FLEXIBLE

Giovanni sighs tiredly when Heine leaps (somewhat) gracefully out of his line of sight, disappearing quickly into the sticky shadows of night, and after a moment, he walks after him reluctantly; it wasn't that he wasn't as flexible as Heine -- really, it had more to do with the fact that he just didn't give a fuck.

16. FLYING

Windows shattered and glass went flying when Giovanni broke through the stained glass of the church, landing on his feet in front of a disgruntled Heine, and once he caught his balance, he made sure to punch him in his goddamn smirking face for breaking something he was going to have to fix.

17. FOOD

For the longest time, Heine wondered if Giovanni ever took time out of his schedule full of fucking crazy to eat; his question was answered one day when the the other caught him by the wrist, grinned, and said, "The only food I need is your fucking flesh turning into liquefied acid in my stomach, Heine."

18. FOOT

When Giovanni broke Heine's foot, and leg, and ribs, and every other part of him that he could manage, he wasn't surprised to see that he barely flinched at any of it; when he saw Heine beneath someone who wasn't him, Giovanni wondered briefly how Heine couldn't read the expression of pain written all over his face when he reached inside of him and ripped his heart from his body.

19. GRAVE

Digging Heine's grave in a remote and quiet spot was something that had become a bit of a hobby for Giovanni; he had dug many in the past, but this location he found just recently was perfect, and one day, he thought as he shoved the blade of his shovel into the dirt, I'll bury you here.

20. GREEN

Heine supposed he never really completely understood the phrase "green with envy," until Giovanni made it perfectly clear that he was the one who practically goddamn coined the term.

21. HEAD

Giovanni wasn't sure what to make of Heine's intentions when his lips were wrapping around the head of his cock; after awhile, he gave up on trying to understand, and instead, he dug his fingers through his hair, jerking him closer with every hollowed suck

22. HOLLOW

Giovanni was quite certain that he had been entirely hollow before he met Heine, before he first caught sight of him in the underground; from that point on, that hollowness was filled with an existence, but it was an existence that was not his own.

23. HONOR

"There's no such thing as honor, Heine," Giovanni says as he spits out blood onto the dying grass beneath him, as he looks over to the other man standing feet from him; Heine serves a kick directly to his gut before the words "you're wasting your time" can fall from his already bloodied lips.

24. HOPE

Every last shred of hope at being something other than what he always had been flickered and faded away the moment Giovanni's fingers slid over the cool metal of the collar fused to the back of his neck.

25. LIGHT

The only light that Giovanni ever cared for was the spark and the flame that emitted from Heine whenever he started trembling, whenever he was pushed past the brink of normalcy into one of panicked insanity; the only light that Giovanni ever cared for was the one that he desperately wanted to fucking smother.

26. LOST

There were moments where Giovanni really didn't know how he was still alive after everything he'd done and after everything he'd been put through, though he assumed it was because he was only capable of accepting failure if it was Heine that he lost to.

27. METAL

Heine tastes like the metal of bullets and guns when Giovanni's tongue delves inside his mouth, though he figures this is probably because he had a gun between his teeth moments before he backed him against the wall and kissed him.

28. NEW

Nothing new, Giovanni thinks when Heine narrowly dodges his bullet by ducking out of the way; nothing new, and Heine moves like clockwork, and Giovanni can't figure out why he hasn't mastered it yet.

29. OLD

The papers are old and browned with age, and there are spots on them where the writing is scribbled out; they're what Giovanni is supposed to grab, but he's distracted for much longer than he should be by the shiny photo directly beneath that has Heine's pretty face plastered all over it.

30. PEACE

Peace had become something of a privilege when it came to Heine and Giovanni, but it was a privilege that neither of them wanted.

31. POISON

Words drip like poison from his mouth; they're tricky, and manipulative, and dark, and secretive, and Heine wishes very much that he wasn't so fucking addicted to the sound of them.

32. PRETTY

Though Heine might not agree with him, Giovanni honestly believes that he looks much more pretty when he's bound and gagged and squirming beneath him on the bed.

33. RAIN

The next time they fought, the rain had dampened their clothes and their hair, but the speed they moved against the bitter wind had them almost completely dry by the time they collided into one another, bullets and blood twisting into hazy patterns above their heads.

34. REGRET

The only real noticeable difference between Heine and Giovanni was that Heine (in his immediate regret and faded triumph) tried very hard to repent for his sins, while Giovanni (in his woven web of violence and not caring) tried very hard to repeat them.

35. ROSES

Red roses were the only type of flowers that would have looked the best scattered all over Heine's corpse, Giovanni concluded, as he pushed his thumb into a thorn and watched silently as the blood spread.

36. SECRET

Heine was always asking why, why, why, why bother, why do this, why are you always fucking stalking me, and after awhile, it became a bit of a nuisance for Giovanni to have to listen to; after awhile, the only answer he'd ever give him in response was a shot from his gun and a nonchalant: "It's a secret."

37. SNAKES

The snakes of any desert from any part of the world held no match for the sly and cunning wit of Giovanni, and Heine hated that he was able to so freely admit that.

38. SNOW

When he was pressed onto the ground, the cool snow sliding up the back of his shirt, Heine had every intention of pushing Giovanni away; what he did instead was curl an arm around the back of his neck and jerk him even closer.

39. SOLID

Concrete was solid, Giovanni thought, solid and hard and it definitely wasn't any fucking mattress, but concrete was the only surface he wanted to land upon when Heine sent him soaring through the air.

40. SPRING

Spring didn't exist where they lived -- no, not in Germany, and not in any part of the world, either; spring didn't exist because of people like them, Giovanni said, and he smiled triumphantly when Heine only sighed.

41. STABLE

Heine wasn't stable, or sane, or any sort of normal whatsoever, and Giovanni could only laugh when he'd pretend otherwise.

42. STRANGE

"We live strange lives," Giovanni says, watching with a detached interest as Heine's fingers curl into the dirt beneath him, "for sheltered dogs."

43. SUMMER

Maybe spring with all its colors and pastels didn't exist, Heine thought, but summer with its heat and with its violence certainly did; Giovanni rolled his eyes as he sidestepped out of the way of Heine's attack, and he replied with, "Seasons don't exist at all."

44. TABOO

Their relationship was only taboo because Giovanni insisted on making it taboo, because Giovanni insisted on murmuring "brother" against Heine's ear when he had him down with his legs spread.

45. UGLY

It was ugly, the way they fought, and the way they tore each other apart; it was ugly, and it was all it ever had been.

46. WAR

In the end, the wars they fought were entirely separate, but they always managed to parallel one another; Heine destroyed shit for answers, and Giovanni destroyed shit to cover up the evidence that led to those answers.

47. WATER

He caught Giovanni's reflection in the tile of the wall glassy with water mere seconds before he shoved him against it, fingers pressing hard into cool ceramic.

48. WELCOME

I want to know what it feels like to die, Giovanni said, and Heine paused for a second; paused, and then he stepped closer and said, welcome to my world.

49. WINTER

Giovanni never believed in seasons until the winter came and Heine was pointing above to the skies glittering with falling snow; after that, he just fucking hated them.

50. WOOD

There was nothing left for them, and there never had been; they were abandoned long ago, long before any of them could remember, and Heine tried hard to remember this, tried hard not to forget this, but sometimes it was impossible when the bark and the wood of trees was scratching against his back as Giovanni pushed inside him, as Giovanni fucked him, and the only thing he could say then was please.

OKAY ANYWAY.

man, idk, i never update this thing with anything useful. ): AND I HAVE YET TO START AT ECONTRA, OMG. i'll get on that eventually, i swear. i'm just being lazy. and i have to start finish a paper for english that's due tomorrow, 'cause i keep putting it off and putting it off and putting it off.

lmfao i think i'm a horrible person. every time i walk past the family room, and my brother's on the computer and he notices i'm coming, i'll hear the sudden rapidfire of CLICKCLICKCLICK and i immediately assume he's looking at porn and trying to exit out of it. ): especially if he says something like "oh, hey" afterwards, even if i haven't said anything to him.

WELL, WHAT ELSE AM I SUPPOSED TO THINK.

ALSO I DEFINITELY GOT RICKROLLED ZERO TIMES YESTERDAY, LOL I ROCK.

but i guess the fact that i got rickrolled 325235 times a couple weeks ago makes up for that, huh. ):
