(no subject)
Hm...today I have absolutely no homework. I should definately start my paper due Friday 'cause it has to be 4-6 pages long. The prompt is: "Who do you think are America's heroes?"' and there's another question to the prompt but I don't remember it. Anyway, I could not think of a topic!!! I even asked Vaughn for ideas. Politicians, rock stars, firefighters, doctors, immigrants, social workers are all things I considered...but I don't know. In the end, my teacher sent us some examples. I basically went off of what she gave us and chose "America's Environmentalists" and I'm going to use Henry David Thoreau, John Muir, Theodore Roosevelt, and George Perkins Marsh as my examples. If you guys know of any other examples, I'm open to suggestions. I kinda chose them randomly.
So in researching for this paper, I came across a lot of nature writings like those of John Muir or Thoreau. And, I don't know, I feel inspired. I want to be a part of nature somehow. Or like, write a poem about nature. I want to write music 'cause I have all this free time and creative energy flowing through me, but I don't know if Katie is busy today.
