For all those who I haven't told already... GREENDAY WAS FUCKING AWESOME!
Billie Joe is so hot! And so is his ass. Everyone saw quite a lot of that!
Simple Plan was on first, their set went for about half an hour, and then it was intermission. Because we found out they weren't checking tickets on the way back in, we managed to get into the mosh pit for Greenday's set. That went for two and a half hours or so. Holy dooley it was brilliant! I scored Billie Joe's pick! It's black with the heart grenade thing on one side, and green day on the other! He threw it into the crowd. He had a whole stack of them stuck to his mic stand so he kept throwing them away at the end of each song. I got mine at the end of Minority!!
And this other guy got to go on stage and play with them. They let him keep one of Billie Joe's guitars afterwards. I was fuming I didn't get to go up. Ahh well.
They sang mostly new ones at the start, and I don't know any of the words to their new songs, but all the 12 year old girls did. I was a little ashamed then. But by the fourth or fifth song, they were all old ones I knew and the girls next to me didn't. They were just looking at me funny when I was going off.
I'm sure I'll be talking about this for many weeks, so be ready for it.
