LiveJournal has changed a bit since I first joined. It's gotten a lot quieter -- or at least, that's how it seems. Not as many communities out there to join and find like-minded souls as keenly interested in your addiction as you are. The word on the street is everyone's moved to Tumblr. I don't know if it's true or not, but it kind of feels true.
I checked Tumblr out and it's not really for me. I'm a text-girl and Tumblr seems to be a pic-world. I love pics! And fanart and manips and such -- but to look at and admire, not to create myself. And I adore, adore, adore a good discussion. Which again, doesn't seem to be Tumblr's thing.
So,
I've created a blog. Which I've actually thought about doing for a while. Exploring Tumblr gave me the nudge. It's a bit (a lot) scary in that it's a brand new world and I'm still feeling my way through the etiquette and how to form connections. But it's also exciting in that way that creating something totally new is exciting. (A tiny ironic note: In the spirit of trying new things (and pepping up my blog-posts) I've just learned how to pull screen-caps. So I'm dipping my toes into the image side of the fannish pool after all.*g*)
I'll still be around here. (For one, I'm pretty hardcore dedicating my blog to k-drama stuff and I do have other fannish interests.) But now I'm somewhere else as well. :) Please feel free to come by and visit me there, too.
