from George Bush's new book

"By the time Dick came to the ranch to deliver his final report, I had decided to make another run at him. As he finished his briefing, I said, "Dick, you are the perfect running mate." While I had dropped hints before, he could tell I was serious this time. Finally, he said, "I need to talk to Lynne." I took that as a promising sign. He told me ( Read more... )

george bush has a new memoir, wherein he details, so far:

the above, that he AND cheney both apparently don't hate gays - SO WHAT THE FUCK WAS THE POINT OF THE ATTEMPT TO BAN GAY MARRIAGE, YOU GODDAMN SHITSTAINS

his stance against abortion stems from his mom having a miscarriage from her teenager years kept in a jar which she showed to him (jesus his family is fucked up)

that 'goddamn right' he approved waterboarding

and that he feels that the worst moment of his presidency was the whole kanye west thing

NOT FUCKING WATCHING PEOPLE LOSING THEIR HOMES AND LIVES IN KATRINA, OR SO MUCH OTHER SHIT

BUT A FUCKING MUSICIAN SAYING HE DIDN'T CARE ABOUT BLACK PEOPLE

JESUS FUCKING CHRIST I HATE THIS IGNORANT SMEAR OF HUMANITY

YEAH I DON'T FUCKING GET THAT EITHER

kanye west: more day-ruining than planes crashing into the twin towers

i cannot believe how much i hate bush

just unbridled total fury for his stupid self-absorbed smug egotistical self

know what i really hate?

i hate that there are people who are complain that 'YOU CAN'T SAY ANYTHING BAD ABOUT OBAMA' with the undertones of (BECAUSE YOU'LL BE CALLED A RACIST)

when he has demonstrably, even gone to PAINFUL lengths to try to compromise and be more open to criticism and points of view other than his own

meanwhile under bush, we had LITERAL, ACTUAL FREE SPEECH ZONES, WHERE THAT WAS THE ONLY PLACE YOU COULD PROTEST AGAINST HIM

AND PROTEST AND PEACE GROUPS WERE FUCKING BEING INVESTIGATED BY THE GOVERNMENT

GOOD FUCKING LORD I CANNOT BELIEVE I AM THIS CAPABLE OF HATE

Is that book worth reading? I get that it's rage inducing, but does it keep your interest? I honestly wouldn't mind wasting time reading his BS while taking a poop. I always need a good bathroom reader. I would get 40% discount on it too.

LMAO and I've never heard that argument about Obama before. I've heard people saying that with the undertones that people are ignorant and think he's a perfect angel. But like you said, he is very open to criticism and honestly, yes, it is going to be a slow process cleaning up the 8 years of destruction the former president left behind. So I get why things aren't getting done quickly. Though, I believe Obama should have admitted that from the get-go as opposed to promising that ALL THIS STUFF WOULD HAPPEN IMMEDIATELY. Regardless, I think he's a good president and means well. He just got elected at an unfortunate place in history.

i've just been reading excerpts of it so far, and that alone has pushed me into rageahol mode

i'm not sure what actually reading the whole book end to end would do to me

possibly fail a kidney

mostly i'm just hoping obama learns from the midterms here is that republicans REALLY aren't interested in compromise

but the most infuriating/admirable thing about obama, i've found, is that he genuinely wants to bridge that red/blue gap, which is why he keeps trying for the compromise route

it isn't getting him anywhere, but he hasn't let craptons of people calling him a communist islamic kenyan nazi stop him from trying

obama needs to step up his game to the likes of tr, fdr, and jfk. he needs to learn how to use his balls to say fuck what you guys think, this is how it should be done. those three presidents are proof that legislative procedure doesn't always supersede executive. especially in the case of tr and fdr.

for realz

he needs to really harp on how republicans aren't and haven't been interested in compromise, no matter how much they say they are

when they step away from ideas THEY CAME UP WITH because obama said he likes them, there is a goddamn problem

Just gonna say, at least your gov. doesn't openly approve of the decapitation of homosexuals, or go about telling their poor that, hey, we're all going to move you from where you've been living for years just to build a resort here and you SHOULDN'T BE MAD AT IT BECAUSE YOU CAN COME VISIT THE NICE RICH FOLKS HERPA DERPA.

Shit's pretty fucked up, tho.
