Is it just me, or have things been weird around here?  Like, weirder-than-normal weird?  I don't know what it is, exactly... more people leaving, more explosions.  ...Well.  The explosions were only tonight, I guess, but still...

[She trails off.  Her train of thought picks up abruptly at a different station.]

I'm glad she lives happily ever after, you know. It's a good ending, and one she more than deserves to have for herself.

She liked the ending, too.

I think most stories have happy endings, though. It's just a matter of waiting until to get to the end.

Yes, and doing your best to live happily in the meantime, even if you haven't quite reached the "ever after" part yet.

[horrible_penny]

That too. Sometimes I forget about the part before the "happily ever after"--you know, the longer part that really matters. That should be just as happy as the ever after.

[primrosella]

"And they all lived happily until the next adventure", perhaps? I think that's a fine ending in itself.

[horrible_penny]

I think that's a better ending. Truer, anyway, and hopefully the next adventure ends happily, too.

But there's got to be an end eventually. A real one, I mean.

Well...yes, that's true. But I suppose that's the point of trying to be as happy as possible along the way, isn't it? Because then when it all does end, you've had all those lovely adventures and all that happiness to think on and be content with.

[horrible_penny]

That's right. And what could be better than that?

[primrosella]

Yes, I think you're right about that. That would be the best thing, after all.
