[Hiccup isn't in his workshop. It looks like he's in the middle of the huge park in Somni. He's breathing heavily and he's sweaty, like he's been running around looking for something. He has a very worried expression.] Hey, have any of you seen a huge black... uh-- [He really hesitates before going on, almost scared to say what he's looking for ( Read more... )

How in the world could a dragon possibly be harmless?

Because he is! He's just like you or me. The dragons wouldn't even attack people if we weren't always trying to kill them!

I assure you, the dragons I've ever encountered are more than willing to kill someone, whether they've been provoked or not.

Well Toothless isn't like that. My whole village thinks the same as you. It's only because we've been killing them for generations!

Well, I've never had any personal interaction with the bloody creatures. So if you'd care to explain why they'd want to kill my lot on sight without having been hunting them for bloody generations, I would be more than glad to hear this explanation.

I just know how it is in my village. I don't know how it is where you're from, so you tell me. How does your tribe usually react to them?

My 'tribe', as you've so eloquently put it, is quite a bit larger than a 'tribe'. Though whether you're referring to just my family or the whole of London is beyond me.

Either way, the Muggles put them off as non-existent, and the wizarding population tends to avoid them like the plague. Due to the whole getting killed off thing.

Well, have you ever even thought about why dragons attack people?

Because we're smaller than them, and Potter has a bizarre tendency to get himself into things?

Edit~ horrendous_name August 3 2010, 05:07:08 UTC
No. It's probably because they're trying to protect themselves.

And who's Potter? Is that the name of "London's" chief?

Of course it is.

Merlin no. Wouldn't that be something, though. It would immediately go to his head. [a scoff of amusement]

I just had to do it XD horrendous_name August 3 2010, 05:13:17 UTC
Ok, then who is he?

I love it. xD mudbloodhater August 3 2010, 05:15:08 UTC
He's a bloke who happens to fall in with the wrong lot. He also tends to want to save people.

[... Well doesn't that sound familiar.]

And somehow he's got something to do with Dragons?

Tossed his name into the Triwizard Tournament a couple years back, and ended up nearly getting himself killed by one. A Hungarian Horntail.
