Some other thoughts for my anti-fantasy novel

- When meeting strangers in the woods, nobody knows each other. This causes much consternation.
- Stowing away on a trading ship immediately gets you thrown overboard, no matter how good your juggling.
- Inns and/or taverns are avoided at all cost and are never described.
- The boy quickly becomes irritated when someone else keeps a secret from him and doesn't stop nagging 'til they fess up.
- The boy tries to learn how to fight with a sword, is utterly useless at it, and never bothers again.
- Wizards are bald, have no staffs, travel everywhere by rickshaw, and are eerily afraid of horses.
- People are more impressed by a blade's serial number than its name or lore.
- Speaking in an "ancient lost tongue" just means you're crazy and need to be committed.
- Gold is worthless.
