I am finally home in Lansing. I've spent the last two weeks embracing my family and friends and all of the people I love, the streets that bore me and raised me, the cool collective of a hopeful city. I have my old Finley's job back at least temporarily, if not for longer. I have been readmitted to LCC and am a few steps away from registering for a heapin' load of classes for the fall semester. I am currently homeless, sleeping on the couches of both Old Francis and Cancer House, but Zak and I will be talking to a landlord within the next day or two who has a buttload of apartments available. There has been a lot of hanging out in my van, I feel like Gary Numan. There has been a lot of VH1 Classic watched. There has been a lot of smiling.
I have two years to catch up on, and it will all take place very soon. I am home and I am happier than I have ever been.
