Surprising stuff
Hey, I shocked myself today. I actually enjoyed myself - well, in a way. The day passed quickly, I barely checked the clock and I had plenty to do. That's why it's really thrown a spanner in the works to be offered a second interview at the company I went to last week. The agony of choice. Of course, I haven't even been offered either of the two jobs I'm being interviewed for, but it doesn't help me being stuck in a quandary.
On the plus side, getting either position means I would get to move to London, which was always my intention upon leaving Japan, I would be working for a Japanese company and building upon the Japanese I already have, plus there would be the opportunity for further travel within the job to Europe and the Middle East. I would be independent once more and would feel that I am moving on in the world.
The downsides are - a move to London, hideously expensive, busy and workaholic on a wage that would barely cover my costs, leaving a job that I think has the potential to be quite interesting and fulfilling and potentially scuppering my plans for a road-trip around the USA next year.
