Whale sighting

We went to Nova Scotia today and the day was sort of a bust, because most of what we really wanted to see was on Cape Breton, which is in the far east and 250 miles from here--too far for a one-day trip. We went to see Anne Murray's house in Spring Hill and then went to Halifax.
We crossed over on the Confederation Bridge, but wanted to come back on the ferry, so we couldn't stop in Halifax, but had to go hell-bent for leather to the ferry port. Bleah. But when we got on the ferry (which is free going into PEI), we saw 1 whale for sure and I saw another. Very rare to spot whales in the Northumberland Strait. Didn't see enough to know what kind it was, but I'm thinking pilot or maybe minke--it was a small whale. It made the whole day worth while.
Hannah didn't go with us because she was sick. Too bad. She's supposed to get stuff to me tomorrow to take to Arizona for her. We are going to leave on Sat. We thought about going by ferry from Nova Scotia to Portland, ME, but with the trailer it will cost ~$538--way too much. We might consider it if the ferry left in the a.m., but it leaves Nova Scotia at 4 p.m., so most of the trip would be in the dark.
