(no subject)
We are back in America--in the NE corner of New York State, near Vermont and Quebec. The gas is much cheaper here, the parks are cheaper here, and since the awning of the trailer was stolen in Ontario, we decided to proceed East in usa and then go to Nova Scotia and PEI. So far, the trip to Canada has been a real disappointment to me, as I didn't get to Grand Portage, or Montreal, or Quebec city. Oh well. The US customs were pleasant (!) and efficient (!!) and we are in a small coffee house in Rouses Pt. NY, across the river from Vermont.
I had a Huge nosebleed last night--lasted more than 40 mins, and literally splashed. I had to wake Victor (he hadn't hooked up the water), and finally he went with me to the ladies' room and we washed out my jammies. What a mess! At 2:30 a.m. he was outside washing out the rug I bled all over, and then he washed the floor inside. Sigh. I was chary of going back to sleep in case it started again, so I stayed up and read Perry Mason. Today we will stay here and wash and rest and wifi and just enjoy. Tomorrow, back on the road.
