Ugh. The head and humidity are completely ...complete. Three digit temps AND high humidity - but no rain here!
Our new doggie, Katie, I can't remember if I mentioned her or not >.<, is starting to settle in, learn her name, and get over the case of kennel cough she arrived with.
Tedd was curious about all these "bubble tea" places popping up around here, so I randomly stopped in at one and grabbed a strawberry for him and a lavender for me. I love lavender, rose, violet, jasmine and such candies, but they're hard to find. The lavender tea was lovely. I liked the "bobas", the big gummy balls of tapioca, but I'd prefer the white ones to the black, just because that'd look nicer with the lavender.
Then I remembered ages ago, the 'rents would sometimes leave me with an English couple. They had a mynah bird that I'd sit for hours talking to. And at tea time, well, we had tea. But I was still a yard ape. Thus my tea was diluted in water and milk, then sweetened. Heavenly!
So I made a thick base of rooiboos and red chai tea, cooled it overnight, and this morning added water and milk. Slowly, I wasn't sure if the spices in the tea wouldn't curdle the milk. Nice morning drink for the hotness!
