Adrenaline junkie

I rode with my dad on the back of a 1967 Honda 90 motorcycle yesterday, and it was terrifying/amazing. We were cruising along at approximately 10mph on mostly-deserted suburban streets, but I was shaking the entire time. I trusted my dad without question; it was fear of other cars (even though we saw exactly one) that had me all worked up. Still, ( Read more... )

Hooray! (I will answer your emails, I promise. I'm not not-answering them because I'm still depressed over sports; I've just been insanely busy with work deadlines. Legit reason for once! Though now Phelps is not doing so well in swimming. I KILL THE THINGS I LOVE/TALK ABOUT. I think I will just have to stop mentioning any kind of sports except when necessary.)

That said, I went "Oooh!" and had grabby hands for each of these.

Bit 1: I want to know why they're fighting! Also, I kind of love the more forceeful Zito.

Bit 2: Heh, threesome aftermath. Awesome. A solid warm presence at the periphery of Tim’s senses, niiiice.

Bit 3: Oh God, you're writing it. I AM SO GLAD. THOUGH I RETAIN THE RIGHT TO GET HORRIFIED IF YOU INCLUDE BAD PORN MUSTACHES.

he gets hired because he can deep throat like a motherfucker and twist himself into pretty much any position a director could dream up, and he’s carved something of a career out of that particular skill set.Asdjklj yes please ( ... )

What's happening with Phelps now? I'm completely out of the loop and the only time I know anything is when you tell me or I happen to see Ian Thorpe at the royal wedding.

I want to know why they're fighting!

General trauma/drama related to Tim's job. It would be nice to finish that at some point.

I'm hoping I can write about porn without actually having to include the mustaches which inspired it. I spent a few minutes trying to figure out if I could include them in a way that didn't make me queasy, and the answer was a resounding "no".

I don't think the subject matter you're writing about necessarily requires much baseball knowledge, does it? Unless there's some actual baseball tangent (beyond Little League uniforms) that you have not yet revealed to me ;)

He's lost the 200m fly twice now. To Wu Peng both times, I think? He placed 2nd and 6th respectively for the 200m fly and the 200m free at the Charlotte meet, though he won the 200m back (?!?) I dunno, man. It's, like, the world is kicking out my reliable sports results. Phelps always wins the 200m fly, it's what he does. Now I'm confused. And Ian Thorpe is being very, very careful about how he words everything he says about the Olympics, which makes me wonder just how he's doing (either much better or much worse than I had anticipated). He did get in a nice passive-aggressive backhand dig at Michael though, which kind of made me laugh and shake my head at the same time. Ian, you are a bitch. And Michael, you are a stalker. Never change.

General trauma/drama related to Tim's job. It would be nice to finish that at some point.

I would love to see that. Also, yeah, I'm with you on the mustaches. they can be implied mustaches. No need to give them any more attention than needed.

I don't think the subject matter you're writing about ( ... )

Michael losing the 200m fly?!?! That's as ridiculous as Nadal losing to Djokovic on clay. Twice. In a row. Which has also happened recently. Maybe there's some weird gravitational/astrological thing happening? I don't believe in that stuff, but seriously, there has to be some explanation for what's going on here ( ... )

I know, right? Where are we living, Bizarro land? (Hey, Steve Nash was at the Canucks/Sharks games. He spilled his beer in excitement.)

Maybe there's some weird gravitational/astrological thing happening?

My theory is that somehow Bode Miller is to blame. And yeah, I really, really need Ian and Michael to go back to doing their hilarious pre-race posturing at each other. It is a bright spot in the world I have really missed over the last four years or so.

I will run my baseball questions by you. You're right, the actual knowledge in-story would be minimal, but if I don't feel I understand it, that makes me much less confident in the story itself.

Also, thank you for checking in on the Typewriters. I was wondering what was going on there. And prepare to get about three emails from me at once a I clear out my inbox.
