Random conversation in WalMart parking lot 30 minutes ago:
Dude: Excuse me, can you tell where there's a Circuit City?
Me: We don't have one here, sorry.
Dude: Is there one nearby?
Me: There's one in Wausau, but that's an hour from here.
Dude: Is that going south? I'm going to the southeast part of the state, down highway 51.
Me: Yeah, 51 goes through Wausau. Where are you from?
Dude: Do you know Milwaukee? (Because I'm from a dinky town in the boondocks, I'm completely sheltered. Of course.)
Me: Yes, I know where Milwaukee is. So this must seem barely civilized to you up here, huh?
Dude: (All frustrated.) Yeah! There's nothing here, my phone doesn't work...
Me: Cell phones work here, you just have to have Alltel or CellOne.
Dude: And everyone has this weird deformity of their face! (Laughs) Just kidding!
Me: That's from the inbreeding.
Dude: Yeah, inbreeding in the woods!
