Yeah, so I got a third dollfie at A-kon and just ordered a fourth. And am planning on a fifth, which due to a special sale would come with a free sixth.

How did this happen???

I was originally just getting into this as a money-making venture. I wasn't going to collect. I collect watches and that's expensive enough. But the seductive thing about dollfie collecting is that you can put them on layaway. Unlike watches--if you win a watch on eBay, you have to pay in full, right that bloody second. With dollfies you can pay for a $600 work of art a hundred bucks at a time, over 6 months. It takes like 90% off the normal limits of what's affordable.

But then everything is for me once I have three of it. I should have known better, I've had the collecting bug since I was 5... ;_;

Still, nobody worry about me. I'm a long way from pushing them about in a stroller and referring to them as my children. Though after lugging Larten and Benny around DollAkon events perched in the crook of my elbow I'm beginning to understand the strollers from a practical perspective. There's got to be a less creepy mode of transportation... right?

Right now I'm in the middle of a massive CdF collection. I've started work on an assortment of ruffly shirts and red things for Larten, the Vancha look will be 3/4 complete as soon as I can remember what I did with his blasted pants (I found a green wig at Akon!), and I just bought the supplies to make a Scotland Yard dress uniform for my SD girl. Because Vancha/Alice is still my OTP, lol. Ordering the patterns for my incoming Darren now.

Got Albel one for his birthday and we're talking about staging CdF-themed photos.

Doctor Who is next on the costume-making itinerary, starting with a series of Romanas for my SD girl. Anybody know of any Whovian doll people, send them to me and I'll start compiling a list of requests?
