Lol Short-Shorts, or Never Watch Swing Kids

So there's about half an hour til dinner and I don't feel like going back to my room. When do I ever? Anyway, I haven't updated in about 4 million years (and haven't seen so much as a Sebastien the Crab for like 100 millennia)

I'm in a bit of a panic about all the stuff I have to get done before the end of the year. Cuz it's really close. I like 5 weeks of class. That's all folks. Taming the of the Shrew is such a time-eater and all I do is sit on really uncomfortable benches and bang my triangle. Don't get me wrong, I'm loving the triangle. I'm also playing my viola in two scenes. Add that with helping Greg for his senior project, lessons, and orchestra (which of course conflicts with Shrew), I'm viola-ing myself to the crazy house.

Class-wise, things are good. The Brothers Karamazov was more amazing than I can begin to describe. I'm gonna have to read every Dostoevsky *I even spelled it right, that's how much I love the man* book there is. I'm sad that I'm not enjoying Dr. Zhivago as much. In American Gothic, we are reading Light in August and I'm liking that. Joe Christmas = best reason to not beat your children. S'not cool, man.

Class scheduling actually went well this time around. Mimi Dixon's teaching a Shakespeare class, and I'm so there. Smith's 300 class closed-out again, but he's gonna let me in, especially now I have proven myself self or something. Housing's next-next week, and it'll be my third year in Woodlawn. Marshall's the CA, so I'm pretty much gonna be a squatter there. My own room - so delicious.

The weekends to come are gonna be insane. Visiting Liz with Jenny for Easter (and thinking of a clever ruse to not go to Shrew rehearsal). Week after is an orchestra concert that I'm in no way prepared for (again, see Shrew). Week after is Wittfest with Milo and Liz invasion! Then exam weekend, then poof! Home. Yay, poof, I'm sure it will be that magically easy.

I'm glad I wrote down a Beckett quote Smith gave us a couple of days. Thinking about laminating it. "I can't go on. I'll go on."
