la la la holidays, long entry

Yesterday was Christmas and it was good. I got a lot of boring gifts that I asked for, which was nice. a headlight and taillight for my bike, a $25 gift card to petco to buy Nietzsche fancy things, socks (normal and hiking), pajamas, a corduroy jacket, Kaplan's MCAT book, the MCAR (medical college admissions requirements, or something), cute cat-shaped photo holders, chocolate covered raisins, and new Tupperware (since mine has pretty much completely disappeared from the 5e kitchen, those bastards). Nietzsche got a neon green catnip mouse with a red jingly tail. I gave my mom 4 sets of towels to match the new bathroom, and a bathmat. I feel bad for getting such boring gifts, but she was excited since she hadn't been able to find matching towels. My mom and I didn't get into any arguments, and had a nice turkey dinner, but we were too uncoordinated to get the pies done in time, so I will make them today for great justice! Even Christmas eve wasn't bad, and the fake tree is okay.

David finally made it to the Denver airport yesterday afternoon after waiting at the airport since Thursday trying to get on a new flight. they put him on first class, which is good, since they really suck at getting people home. He was transferred to a different airline and they didn't care about him at all because he hadn't purchased tickets from them, and wasn't from their club thing. People who missed their morning flights were getting on afternoon flights in front of him and all the other delayed passengers. It was damn shitty. Airlines suck. I found him a really neat gift, and I hope he likes it. I need to get his parents something because they got me hiking boots for Christmas while I was there for Thanksgiving.

I'm still waiting for three of my grades, but so far so good. I don't really know what I'm going to take next term, because I want to continue to do well... no flashbacks to sophomore year.

I'm going to steak and shake for the first time since July in the next few minutes. I've been wanting one of their mint chocolate shakes for months, and finally it shall be mine. And a chili mac supreme. Always the same thing for me.. well, at least the first time I go there. I have a feeling I'll be back a handful of times before I go back to Boston. There aren't any Steak and Shakes on the east coast!!! They don't even sell franchises there! Its just not fair. And nothing comes close to Steak and Shake.

classes, mcat, christmas, premed
