I interact with the language through... watching anime & listening to Japanese music. But I haven't done either of those lately.

Same as me. I've been watching anime since I was nine. @_@. I learnt how to write a lil' through anime. Because I look at their titles (which is in Japanese) and how they read it... so I kinda picked it up.

Wow, when I was nine all I was aware about was my Nintendo and my colouring book, heh. Well, Pokemon is an exception if you're talking about anime. That applies to me, too! I got to know the kanji for kimi from watching Kimi ni Todoke, lmao. It's weird because the Chinese character, "君", means something different.

I'm relieved.

NINTENDOOOOOOOO. /spent 3 days playing pokemon Sapphire (today's the third day) and beat the elite four and I got a pichu and wynaut :P :P :P.

I know, right? D: . Some Kanji have different meanings from the Chinese characters, and that sucks sometimes when you try to guess the meaning but wrong :x.

I'd be lying if I were to say TOTALLY, I've been watching Shin-chan episodes @_@ and detective conan. (Like, as a break, okay :x)

Yeah, it's really annoying and it just doesn't make sense to me when Chinese people pronounce Japanese names in Chinese. Haha.

I will I will. :D I've always had a bias towards grass-type Pokemons. But my cousin just had to choose a fire-type as a starter and I used to always get defeated when we battle each other. :@

Man... I mean it's just so strange. Randomly placing Chinese words together is bad enough... let alone pronouncing them in Chinese.

For me, it is fire type ne. I remember that there arent many fire types in the game, like, less than ten. So I always go with fire. I used to go with water types last time, though.

That is to understand better, I think. Cause some words have dual meanings (like hana.
