Today marked the start of the week-long EAP. I missed a lot of the lessons today because I went for the Math Olympiad competition. I swear, Math Olympiad is by far the most boring competition I've ever participated in. Because I didn't prepare for it at all, I couldn't answer all the questions, with the exception of the first one. Totally sucked. I only truly attempted 2 out of 35 questions, and I guessed another 9. So that means I "attempted" 11. How pathetic. :P
After the competition ended, I headed back to class for English lesson, and the class got back their Mid-year Examination scripts. Mrs Wong also announced that she will be migrating to Canada next term. And that took me by surprise, although Raudhah already told me the news this morning. I will really miss her. She'll always be a great English teacher, no matter how often I doze off during her classes. Hahah. Wishing her all the best and hope she has happier days ahead in Edmonton. Really hope I'll have a chance to visit her. :)
After lunch, I went back to school to attend the Social Etiquette Course, one given by a professional trainer called Ida Ong. She seems very experienced, considering the fact that she has taught various models and actresses grooming. The course was surprisingly interesting, too. I thought I'd be bored to death in the auditorium, but thank goodness I wasn't. :) She's pretty charismatic and not as arrogant as I initially made her out to be. On Friday, though, the school hall will be turned into a dining one, and all the Sec 4 students will be attending a banquet. And we'll have to display the dining etiquette and table manners we picked up during the course we sat for today. I'm pretty nervous because there's a lot to remember. Especially the part on using the napkins and drinking the soups. And also using the different knives.
On another note, Regine's leaving Singapore on her student exchange programme in a few hours' time. Why would I care, you ask? It isn't even me who's going overseas.
Well, because she's going to JAPAN. She's been there just last year, in December. I'm obviously jealous. But I still hope she has a fun time there. :) If you're wondering who she is, she's
haywireheart.
All of it sums up to this:
Bon Voyage, Mrs Wong & Regine!
p.s. I forgot to mention this - bird crap fell on Winifred's Biology exam paper today, LMAO. It happened while I was out for lunch. Apparently, she left it on the table in the school canteen, and a bird flew in and literally pooped on it. How unfortunate. :(
