I spent my morning at Sengkang Swimming Complex today. It's a new sports complex which is situated opposite Mrs Wee's house. I had loads of fun. :) Though I seem way too old to be playing with water slides that go down to a 1m deep pool.
Here's something I have to say, though - never underestimate the power of the water slide. I thought going down the slide was simply child's play, considering the fact that so many kids were playing with it. But when I went down the Twister Tunnel (I'm not really sure about the actual name but it's something along the lines), my fearlessness immediately turned into trauma. My heart kept missing its beats and I felt terrible after my first try, but it turned out alright when I went on the ride again. The experience was just like the ones I would get when I'm on the roller coaster or the pirate ship. It's teeth-gritting, fist-clenching, heart-stopping, because I'm not the kind of person who would scream my heart out and enjoy the blistering adrenaline rush.
After a few rounds in the pool, I headed to the McDonald's there to have breakfast. The radio was tuned on to Class 95FM and the playlist was amazing. I didn't know '90s rock could sound so great. ;) Goo Goo Dolls used to be the only band that pops up in my mind when someone asks me if I listen to such a genre of music. But not now. :D
When evening rolled in, I made my way to Expo for church and today's service was simply awesome. Robin Harfouche was the guest speaker today and she shared her life story with the church. After service, I headed to EastPoint with the cell group for dinner. Jia Hui made a cake specially for the cell group. Ah, how sweet. :)
Anyway, Janet and I had a funny conversation about handsome guys and pretty girls. Honestly, I really like looking at pictures of good-looking people. :P Ain't it weird of me? Speaking of such people, we were talking about the members of SNSD. And I've taken a liking to Sooyoung and Yoona. She also showed me pictures of handsome men and I think Huang Xiaoming and Dennis Oh are attractive! I'm not trying to imply that I'm a pervert or anything, though. Don't get me wrong...
But you know what? I'll always be thankful for my looks. :)
