The past few days have been blessed. :) I'm just going to write a quick recap of the weekend, though.
So, on Friday it was another busy school day. My class took the NAPFA test first thing in the morning, and this time I was up for the standing broad jump and the sit-up. I did OK at the sit-up station with 40 in half a minute (actually, I haven't been doing very well physically as of late because I've been leading this really sedentary lifestyle... with a fried chicken diet and all). My grade for the standing broad jump has been terrible as usual... I only managed to jump a distance of 2.02m. Which is kinda pathetic, considering the fact that I'm 15 and over 1.7m tall.
OK, nothing much happened during the following classes... so now I'll talk about what happened after school. I did mention that I skipped the Biology 'O' Level SPA due to the Science Quiz, right? So after school that day, I went to sit for the assessment along with those who went with me to VJC. Overall, it was alright! I was expecting something with the difficulty level of the potato strip-cutting or enzyme experiments. Although the SPA wasn't exactly what I'd call "easy", but I still managed to finish it within the stipulated time duration, with the correct results too (though I'm not exactly sure about that). Basically, the SPA was about the reduction reaction between glucose and potassium permanganate. And somehow or another, we were supposed to derive the average blood glucose concentration in humans. Which kind of had no link with the experimental process... agree?
Anyway, after the assessment I sat for the Geography test. Horrible, horrible. I should really revise on the nutrient cycle. Especially when it comes to the biomass of different types of forests. :( After that, I went to water the plants my class got in exchange of plastic bottles. Apparently, my school's really going green this time. And then there was the regular school meeting with my cell group.
Everything ended at around 5.30pm and by then we went to grab our dinner. There's a new wanton mee stall at the hawker centre near Blk 201! :) Anyway, I went to Aaron's house after dinner. We had a combined meeting with another cell group today so it was full house in there. We were really kinda having some worship party with around 20 people packed in the living room, hahah! No doubt we made a lot of noise, though. But it was fun! The refreshments were awesome, too. I have this thing for seaweed Pringles. Or seaweed anything.
The meeting ended late and I reached home around 11.30pm. But no doubt it was a good Friday. :)
On Saturday, I left for service earlier, and Rev. Dr. Kim Sung Hae was there to share. I'll admit she isn't the most fluent English speaker, but her sermons do carry a powerful message. After that, I went to Changi Airport to have Popeyes. It was a tiring trip but I feel like I've bonded with the members from E391. :) And that includes the Indonesians and Xuan Hong. Anyway, Popeyes was great. (Y) Although it burned a huge hole in my pocket.
Today, I went to have lunch with my family at White Sands! Finally. :) We had a Thai meal and it was amazing, especially the tom yam soup, the fried chicken, pineapple rice & the red ruby dessert. I'm craving for the dessert right now, actually. Especially the savoury coconut milk. xD
Oh well, so that kinda described the weekend I had. :)
I guess it's about time I signed off! The textbooks are screaming to be studied. :(
