The PE teachers in my school can be really abhorrent at times. They just like to assume that we're ever-ready. Take this morning's PE lesson as an example - they simply told us "You'll be taking your NAPFA test today" without prior warning, and they just made us disperse to our respective stations. In the end, my class ended up running 2.4km for the test under the sweltering hot 9am sun. I did manage to get myself together before the run anyway, so my timing was still quite normal. I think I finished the run within 11 minutes (or little more than that).
Was late for Biology class by 20 minutes due to the PE lesson. Ms Farhana started teaching about the menstrual cycle, and there's a whole chunk of info to remember and apply. All those follicles are driving me bananas.
For Geography class, Mrs Tan once again stressed on the importance of formulating questions. It's quite essential because you'll learn how to diversify the applications of the knowledge you gain. Questions can be asked in various manners, and they definitely can come in various forms. She also shared with me some tips on the SS chapter of Venice. Anyway, I've got to say this - Mrs Tan stretches our thinking and I admire her attitude towards teaching. Seriously.
Fast-forward to the tests period after lunchtime. The first paper was Math, and I think I fared OK for that. The one after was Physics. It was pretty OK also, but a lot of funny things happened.
I really have to give it up for my school. Especially when it comes to test papers. In almost every school paper, there's bound to be some sort of typo error, printing error or photocopying error. This time, it was a printing one. It was ridiculous because the setter didn't even notice that he didn't print the last 2 pages of the paper. The error was then duplicated over a 100 times and distributed to the classes. In the end everyone sat for a test that had its total score deducted by 10 marks.
The other one was something to do with Mdm Ashikin, the Biology teacher.
Mdm Ashikin: *opens the door and interrupts the test* 4R1, there is an error in the paper. Flip to Section A, question 8...
Mdm Ashikin: It says in the question that... *interrupted by random student*
Random student: Uh, we're taking the Physics test now.
Mdm Ashikin: OMG TTM???!!!1 OKAY NEVER MIND, I FORGOT YOU'RE 4R1. YOU'LL BE TAKING THE BIO TEST NEXT MONDAY.
Mdm Ashikin: *was about to leave but decided to stay and mock us* HEHEH, luckily I didn't end up revealing the question!~~~ *smirks and gives an irritatingly thankful expression*
In the end everyone jeered at the student.
I slacked for a while after the tests in the library and then I made my way to McDonald's with Jun Jie to get some takeaway dinner. When I got back, cell group meeting commenced, but in a super malapropos location. But back then, I honestly felt that the Holy Spirit was moving in us. Really awesome. In such an inappropriate place like the grass patches at the back of the classroom block, His presence can still be so tangible. Being omnipresent is one thing, but being able to penetrate into our soul & touch our hearts is another.
I went for night study after that. Met Joel (Liew) and I had an extra long chat with him. I find him outgoing and easy to get along with though, and that's great. But I have to admit, I still don't know him well enough. But he shared with me a lot of his experiences and it kind of inspired me.
Guess that marked the end of a long Friday.
