I'm really (fill this in with any word that elaborates "tired").
I brought my guitar to school today and I practiced with Hui Yen before morning assembly. The rest of the day was not worth penning down. Besides having to rewrite a group essay all on my own, there was nothing worth remembering. Surprisingly, the A. Maths test today was alright, too.
During Geography lesson, Ms Lum went on to teach GDP. She also showed us a video about Dubai's development. The video kinda reflected Dubai's wasteful ways. I would really rather the emirate develop in consideration of people. I can't believe Dubai could actually go as far as bordering bankruptcy due to its huge investments in infrastructure.
It also seems to me that the place competes in the Olympics, since you can find the world's first 7-star hotel, world's first artificial palm-shaped island, world's first underwater hotel and probably the world's soon-to-be tallest building & world-shaped island there... and most of the construction for the current structures was done in just 5 years. Half of Dubai's population are workers who live in overcrowded dormitories that open onto standing sewage. The city practically crackles with excess - an expatriate haven on the surface, I guess. Just the thought of placing Dubai in Eastern Africa gives me heartache, if you get what I mean. Now I understand why they say everything's unfair...
After school, I had lunch with some of my friends and I walked back to school for the cell group meeting in class. Only Xinyi showed up today. After the meeting, I went down to help Tay Xi with her homework and then off to guitar class I went. Practiced playing a simple new song today.
I guess that's probably it for my day. School's giving me a headache.
