Apocalypse is coming...
the grim darkness of the far future has suddenly got a little bit darker, but a whole lot more fun XP...
yes those guys at Games-workshop have spun out another great money making idea... that has of course has grabbed the attention of ever Gw fanboy such as my self...
this idea i Apocalypse...
the idea is that u can now fight those huge warehouse battles that u've always wanted to fight but never had the time... but now u have updated rules to allow you to fight them... and not just that but theres a whole new load of models n updated rules to go with the scale...
for example u now have the 10" blast template, Strength D (short 4 destroyer/ death) and the endless joy of the warlord titan and the vortex missile (and granade for that matter)...
i got my copy of the rule book last week (not really that many rules just some outlines background and new versions of some weapons and lots and lots of nice pictures)
while ive been in preston visiting stacey i went to Gw n took part in a Apocalypse battle... twas awesome i got to command a baneblade super-heavy tank as part of my squad (twas two people on each side)... n now ive got a taste for playing warhammer 40k again :(... i wanna play god damm it!!!
n as LURPS will be dragging itself back into reality very soon i was wondering if anyone was interested in starting a little tournament in the Sunday wargames slot... or anytime during the week when ur not busy... i justr wanna see if anyones interested as last year it seemed that no1 cared... so if anyone is or just wants to fight a battle (40k or fantasy) just let me know... i need to revise my armies at the mo... so give me a week or so notice so that i can sort stuff out...
