Anyone feeling bored? Well have I got the time killer for you!
For the past two or three days, I've been following one of the silliest LJ dramas ever. I want to explain it, but I fear that's impossible without drafting a seven page flow chart. That said, I'll give it a try:
About three days ago,
purple_brain posted in
ljers4eternity that
shade_on_heroin had committed suicide. A random smattering of folks (myself included) checked out
shade_on_heroin's journal (which is now friends locked, unfortunately), which was basically nothing but page after page of glorification of heroin and the junkie lifestyle (shit like "OMG! I just shot up and I'm soooo high!"), most likely written by someone who fainted the last time his or her pediatrician tried to give him/her a tetanus shot.
At any rate, someone said "I smell a fake" and I gave my two cents (which basically amounted to "I used to be a junkie and no way would I have had the motivation to run online every twelve seconds and update a fucking LiveJournal"), and then all Hell broke loose.
The supposed suicide found its way to
fake_lj_deaths (most posts are members-only, and if you're not a member yet, I highly recommend joining ... it's a laugh riot!), and then some yutz calling him/herself
eyes_of_kali started trolling all the related posts on both journals, going on and on about how we wouldn't let
pyromantik (
shade_on_heroin's supposed best friend) grieve (nevermind the fact that no one had actually contacted
pyromantik and said diddly to her).
But wait: it gets better.
Then people at
fake_lj_deaths start looking into
pyromantik, and discover that she's got something like 70 different screen names on like four different journaling sites, the main one (
pyromantik) being less than a year old and having more than 6,000 updates.
eyes_of_kali is, of course, eventually found out to be nothing more than just another one of
pyromantik's alter egos. But guess who else is one of
pyromantik's identities?
pancake_of_doom, otherwise known as the spirit of Kurt Cobain.
Yes, you heard me right. The spirit of Kurt Cobain has a LiveJournal.
I could go on and on, but I think you should just all check out
fake_lj_deaths for yourselves. Just be warned: it's addictive.
