thoughts on second sem (so far)
1. I have Lulu again. For both English and Lit. Again. For two hours every MWF. Really. Hahaha okay I really should stop whining about her. She gave me okay grades last sem and she's actually getting nicer now so I shouldn't mind having to sit through her mind-numbing lectures, or her plethora of weird assignments, or her bizaare choice of clothing. OR the fact that we've been discussing the same 2-line poem for about 6 meetings now. (Really.)
For now I just want to skip through the next few meetings because she tasked us all with writing a scientific review paper (which is kind of like a postlab?!) and... a limerick. Plus she's getting extra cranky because of the stitches on her foot she got from a freak accident involving a screen door. Althouugghhhh I'm looking forward to the latter part of the sem because we get creative non-fiction for EN101! Our main requirement would be to submit a journal, so yay no more research. Hah.
2. I'm taking up Zoology this sem, and although all the memorizing and looking through microscopes seem daunting, I think I'll be alright. Chester, our lec prof, provides our quota of sabaw (at 7:30 in the morning, no less) every T-TH, and I can't even begin to describe just how very sabaw he is. At the very least I'll be able to stay awake in NatSci now. My Filipino's okay too, even though I'm isolated from the rest of my block. Time to make new friendzzz.
3. Calculus, so far, has been kind. Banjoe teaches well, and apart from all the (very hard surprise) quizzes, she's pretty okay. This sem, I took it upon myself to get a good seat and surround myself with smart people so I can get inspired. I must say, it's working pretty well, haha! The guy on my left actually reads the book in advance, so voila, instant tutor. It makes me want to read the book too, so I don't look and sound like a complete failure.
4. As for Judo... well, I haven't done anything yet. Hahahaha.
5. Lastly. College Drama. You'd think people would have left it behind... hahahaha. It was amusing in high school, but now it's just annoying. At least, for me it is. Please please please stay away from me. Or just go away. Hahaha.
Okay time to be productive. I've done nothing but watch 90210 this weekend (please don't judge me, I'm hooked hahaha). 31 days till Christmas!
