Not spoilers but not right either
Ok, so supposedly Hope was regressed for an 'unknown' reason and he's the same Hope from XIII-2, with 'all' his memories and just missing his emotions. So someone with a better grasp of Japanese, please justify why he calls Light 'Light-san'. He's essentially 1027 years old. One Thousand Twenty Seven YEARS OLD. I would think that a de facto WORLD LEADER would be allowed to use a friend to friend suffix rather then a child to adult suffix. Granted they say she calls him 'Mr' in the earliest trailers. But that would imply that they're essentially calling each other 'Ms' and 'Mr'.
Hope: Hey Ms. Light take this with you. (Holds out a sheet of paper)
Light: What is it? (Takes paper)
Hope: (Goes back to his computer) The grocery list. If I can't leave the house that leaves you with grocery shopping. And pick Noel up while you're at it, he needs to come in from playing 'spy verses spy'.
Light: ... Yes sir, Mr. Hope Sir, (Sarcastic Guardian Corps Salute)
Problem two: SAVING SOULS... Ok, I get it, Light has to go and save the souls of a select group of people so they can go on to HAPPY Land. We see her running into Snow, Sazh, Fang, Noel AND MOG, and I can see why she would need help in saving three out of the five in that list so far. But what about Hope? Is he supposed to get 'Saved' to? Is he already saved and staying in the Ark because of it? Is he really there at all or maybe a hologram projection from the other side and he's been saved.
Light: I got the grocery. *puts the bag of groceries on a side table drops Noel's knocked out butt on the floor*
Hope: *Tosses a bag at her from his computer.* Since you feel like changing clothes all the time I got you something.
Light: *Opens bag and looks inside it* So I guess before Snow decided he wanted to be an Emo Wobbie he got you that DoA Beach Volley Ball game huh? And how did you get it here?
Hope: Mail ordering is a Maker send. Be thankful I opted for the one that wasn't dental floss.*
Light: How old are you again?
Hope: Older then you, Missy 'Spends a few hours in an alternate reality while I live for centuries'.
Problem three: So, does any of the old gang know that Hope is here? Why the hell has he been allowed to be completely and utterly isolated from all of existence for well over a century? Why didn't Snow or Sazh or anybody who knows him come to see him? Or look for him?
Light leaves the Ark on another mission and a few hours later Noel wakes up.
Noel: ... So you've been here all this time?
Hope: Pretty much.
Noel: You know she's going to destroy the world. Even if she doesn't mean to do it, that's her destiny.
Hope: *Shrugs* Destiny sucks, you come to realize that after 1000 years. Besides, I think we established that it's easy to misread those things.
Noel: By the way, why are you a kid?
Hope: *Leans to the side of his chair* Million dollar question right there. Can't remember actually. Does it bother you?
Noel: Kinda. *Pulls out spear* I mean, killing kids isn't something that has ever gotten easy and you're helping Light. So...
Few hours later Light comes 'home' to find the place wrecked, blood over the computer console and floor and a note that Noel took Hope with him. Because Noel wants an advantage over Light so he'll finally win even if it means taking his last human friend and crucifying the guy in a square to get Light's attention.
So yeah, because so far ALL the interactions I've seen has been between Light and the rest of the Universe. Someone tell me how Hope is going to show Light that he's 'grown up' now that he looks like a kid? If he leaves the Ark does he revert back to his 27 year old appearance? How does someone who does NOTHING BUT TALK INTO A MIC all day show that he's 'grown up'!? I Want to make these two a couple but I'm thinking Fan fiction is my only resource!
